I stopped painting for about a year, I wasn’t feeling creative. Then I saw this and it actually woke up my heart! I used to wear this color on my nails and it was my #1 favorite color. I’m ordering the cheesecloth today! Thanks for sharing this incredibly beautiful piece ❤
That is the most amazing pigment, I even saw green in with the blue and purple. I want that stuff! Beautiful and fun design. I'd like to try it sometime. Thank you for sharing this!
It's really neat what can be done with some fabric in art! Pouring Your Heart Out has done some resin coasters/trays with chiffon creating a rippling/wavy kind of effect. But in this case, I could see a spray varnish protecting the piece quite well instead of resin over top.
Kanella, that’s one of the thing I love about watching you. You are a true artist! You don’t stick to one thing over and over! I pray you have a blessed time in Vegas!
Kanella! I love this. Templates and premade forms are awesome but I love that a form like this will always be one of a kind. If you were to resin it, you could always put a tall tape or acrylic border around it and fill it with a thick layer! ❤❤
I hope you will do a tutorial on the resined wood board you made in video 541. You did a commission blob painting on it and I would really like to see how you did the board start to finish. This video was nice too. You are excellent at thinking outside the box! I hope you’re enjoying Vegas!
This is VERY new and interesting!! I love it! And that pigment is amazing! What a color shift! I hope you are having an amazing time in Vegas and we can't wait to hear all about it!!! Safe travels!!! 💖
This would suit my speed lol ... I'm a start and walkaway for a coffee break - forget what I was doing creator 🤭😁😂The *holo* effect is absolutely stunning combined with the fabric 3D ridges👌 So many options to try - a frame edge, a headboard, doors on a sideboard ..! Love the *new you* Kanella 🤞
DUO-CHROME is the term you’re looking for. A chrome finish that shows two different colours depending on the angel you look at it. Nothing about this is holographic . Holographic is when something has more rainbow reflects to it 😊 just letting ya know! It’s just the nail tech in me speaking haha ❤❤❤
I love this. Just curious, do you need to do the gesso? Unless you need it to make it harder, the black paint would have covered everything else? Just looking for clarification. Thanks Kanella. Have fun in Vegas. I think polycrylic will work instead of josonja as well
Kanella, this is just beautiful ❣️ I hope you have the best of times in Vegas and I also hope you get a lot of new ideas to share with us when you return home (and after Greece of course😉) Love from a sunny south of France ❤
Wow, this is incredible. I love it. I'm moving, and will have a small room to make myself an art studio. So hopefully one day I can do something like this. It's gorgeous. I sure hope you're having a safe yet Amazing time in Vegas.
The end piece turned out beautiful! 😍 Love that pigment. 💞 A surfboard resin (the type of resin that's meant to be brushed on) would be awesome on this but the spray varnish would definitely be easier to do. You know, I think Diamond Glaze might have worked just as well to mix with the pigment and been a built in protectant at the same time but I'm not 100% sure on that. Could be a nice experiment in the future. 🤔 ...Seems kind of a waste of the original already resined piece though since all your previous work was covered up. 😅 I would have used a new wood round but that's just me. 😆
Really love it, but it was a lot of steps. May I ask why you started off with a resined base? Wouldn't just a painted or gessoed board work just as well?
Hey K, does it have to have the top coat of Krystal Resin before you can do one of these, and I wasn't sure if you said it was wooden or canvas. I heard you say black background for it to pop. Thank you, Jamie ❤ Ps. I can see the glow in your face. Have you been love bit😊 it shows. I see love bubbles all around you. I'm so happy for you sweet lady. Now if I could find my person. 😅 Thanks for your help
I did I can't even tell you I know I gave my daughter 18 different pieces with this technique. I used joint compound premix and then diluted it glue and water. And I also did a few in the metal mesh. I didn't know at the time you can get plaster Band-Aid what you just did them in water and put over the mash and boy does it make a big difference. Trying to post a big but it's not taking me to the right place in my gallery. Have fun with it.
I would definitely show this video to the glass manufacturer and ask them why the color changed. Who knows you may get a free jar of glass out of it. Definitely a strange reaction. Beautiful coasters!

Beautiful result! How did u trim fabric?
I cut along the bottom edge
Wow i love that. Using a different medium to produce a great piece of art. That colour is beautiful. Hope you are having a great time i Vegas.

Is it not chameleon colour not duo chrome?

@@christines2451 yes I suppose chameleon colour is the brands name for duo chrome pigments! Just wanted to clarify it’s different to “holographic” 🙂
You could try without it. I added the gesso for extra hardness and layers

Amazing time in Vegas.
Wonderful results.
Thank you!
This is really gorgeous, no kidding🥰
Very unusual and beautiful. A lot of work but well worth the effort considering how it turned out. Take care, be safe. 💕 Dorset, UK
That is gorgeous 😊
Have fun.
Thank you! 🤗
That’s a great chameleon color! I think you may have forgotten that the gel dries clear and wouldn’t look anything like that 😊😊
Ya but I didn’t wanna risk it lol
Love it
Very pretty
Thank you! 😊
Thats a cool idea. Can you save the extra pigment mixture if you have extra? ❤❤
Yes you can! As long as you cover it well
Beautiful 🎉
Thank you! 😊
O, so PRETTY!!😍 🩵
Love this ❤
I love this concept in this piece. Did you cut the excess cheese cloth? It was hanging down before or after it dried.? and was it difficult?
Yes I cut the excess off and it was super easy
Yes, I also wondered when in the process she trimmed the cheesecloth.
Looks great.
Thanks!
Love it!!!
Would using a dark blue instead of black have a different effect?
Not sure. Never tried it.

Diamond glaze is way to expensive to use for this project (at least it is here in Canada)
The wood board simply had a layer of resin on it. No biggie.
This is a beautiful piece. What did you do with the extra cloth hanging on it? Cut it or stapled to the back?
Cut around it. I’ll show it again in an upcoming video when I’m back from Vegas
Really love it, but it was a lot of steps. May I ask why you started off with a resined base? Wouldn't just a painted or gessoed board work just as well?
Yes. You can gesso a board.
I had that one kicking around and it was ready for use and I didn’t have time to gesso another board lol
I didn't understand what you bought on Amazon. Can you write it in a comment please?
It's absolutely beautiful. Tlp is amazing
Have a blast in Vegas
Cheese cloth
Can you link the Coz creations video? I looked at her site and couldn’t find it! Thanks for your help!

Polyacrylic you can use in place of Jo Sonja . ❤
Yes.
❤ gorgeous!!!!!
This is gorgeous. I sure wish you would use resin over it instead of spray. The resin would give it more depth. ...But still is GORGEOUS!✌
I haven’t done anything to it yet lol
Well, so far, it looks fab!@@KanellaCiracoArt

The resin helps prevent the board from warping. It’s not mandatory.
And yes I’m pretty happy these days 💕 😉
How do you finish the back, though?
The back is just the wood board.
When I get back from Vegas and do a new video I will show you all the back etc
