It started out as a bowling event on Wide World of Sports in 1961 that got good ratings, the Pro Bowlers Tour was their spinoff. Last over 30 years, the others ones were the American Sportsman which got spun off when Wide World covered a rattlesnake hunt and Superstars which were pro athletes doing Olympic style events.
Greg, here's an Edd Kalehoff song that would fit in your YT account...it's called 'Knock Wood', and it was, starting in 1991, the primary theme song for Labatt Blue Jays & Expos Baseball on TSN in Canada until 2009, when TSN no longer had the rights to Jays games. =P

The GOAT...he was hard to beat on TV. My guy was Amleto Monacelli and Walter Ray got the best of him quite a bit.
