Hello. Thank you for watching my video. And thank you for all your support in 2023. It's not easy to keep posting videos without your support. Thank you again, and Happy New Year!"
My daughter used to work at a boda tea shop and the straws that they served the drinks with are clear and the exact same diameter as a typical 5 inch Senko. I cut them down to about a quarter inch and have been using them with pretty good success.
The heat shrink and the mentioned below straw hack are definitely the way to go to save those expensive soft plastics. I think both are better than the rubber ring technique. Thanks from WV for your videos. I enjoy them.
Thank you for the comment 👍. For Neko rig settings, I'd prefer using a rubber ring since it's quicker to make at the fishing spots. Many methods are being invented, not easy just to catch up all those things these days!
Thanks Waki, hope you and your family made it through the earthquakes, and tsunami in Japan with no problems. I also hope 2024 gets much better than it started out ..FishOn...jimi
This works great with wacky rigs. I bought 10 ft of heat shrink online for cheap and cut to size. Ive used the same yum dinger for 2 days catching multiple bass before I lost it.
Rapala makes the pliers you are looking for. They are available in the USA. I also use circle hooks when fishing the wacky rig and most soft plastics. They are quite snag resistant and keep the fish from taking the bait too deep.
Yes, this is not new. It was over 10 years ago when I first tried this. The tube I use in this video might actually be from that time, over 10 years ago.
I use the silicon tube shields from arsenal tackle they come in 50 to a pack they are super easy to put on with their pliers and you don’t need any heat to use .
thanks again waki san, (hope thats right ), ive got red and some black electrical heat shrink....do you reckon the colours will hurt ??, also, do you ever fish a senko,on jig or wacky in salt water ??, happy new year from australia...love your stuff, cheers
The colored tubes could work as a bite marker. I used to use them and it just worked. Never tried wacky for saltwater. The wave and current would be a problem. Could be worth try it. Please tell me how it goes!

Thank you for the info. The one I’ll get is by ValleyHill.
I saw this tip years ago on the NDyakangler channel. I’m not sure where it originated but I’ve been using it since.

Happy New Year….very cool tip. Where can you get this clear shrink tube and size would you recommend for the 5” Senko??!! Thank you for the video!! 🍻
Happy New Year. 5”… I have no idea but maybe 8mm? Could need even bigger size? Sorry.

I like the idea and plan to use it. Tell me about the hook your using!!! Happy New Year!
Nothing special. I use my favorite Hayabusa hooks but any wacky/split shot hooks would work.
I’ve never seen a hook like that before so I thought I’d inquire.
Hayabusa Spin Muscle Guard 👍
Ive been doing that fkr the last 5 yrs.!!!!!
👍
Been doing this for years and one worm can last me for weeks

Any tips like this for the spinnuts?? They definitely don’t last as long.
Not really...
