Oh well since SMRT was already dedicating itself to install the PMSM motors, but here came NRFF and then boom LTA decides to order the R151, so I guess this is what made the 7 (now 6 since 095/096 died) trains unique.
Indeed it's pretty unique
oh car 1026 would've been the strongest sounding when it was leading haha but ok la not too bad

set 095/096 was arguably the best pmsm ever. super strong motor but was unfortunately the first pmsm to die. if you can track down 131/132 youll hear a similar strong motor as well.

so the super olympians were B10TL, there were many B10M (one is fav striders), then their successor was B9TL (wright and cdge), then succeded by the rejected B8TL, how does Volvo count their models?

So are they scrapping some C151s and giving the rest of them this Hankyu 1000 series motor?
I believe they are eventually scrapping/retiring all C151s. This refurbishment exercise was done many years ago

It stands for Permanent-magnet synchronous motor. This was taken when I still lived in Singapore a few years ago

Me as well as you know, last time 095/096 is the only PMSM have the strongest motor however it was scrapped in 2022
