- I'm so sorry for the delay on this studio vlog! Shiko went missing right after recording it. We were losing hope on him ever being found, but after 8 days, we finally found him!
In this studio vlog I share all of the plastic-free and eco-friendly shipping supplies that I use to package fragile items, in this case mugs, and I show you how I sublimate my mugs. Hope you enjoy!

Mug press tip: I was told to always have a mug in it as it’s heating up and cooling down as it can wear your heating element out being empty when heating and cooling. ☺️

Tana, I am beyond happy that you guys found Shiko. Believe it or not, every morning, I’d wake up & check your Instagram stories hoping to see a post of Shiko being found... when I finally saw it, I was so happy and relieved. I’ve never been a pet person but my aunt gave me her puppy because she was moving back to Mexico, and the puppy died 3 years later, I really didn’t know how I was going to eventually get passed her death. It took a year, to randomly stop bursting into tears everyday. So, when you found Shiko, I cried and cried out of happiness. Corny, I know but 🤷🏽♀️
Aw, thank you for caring about us so much. It was such a hard thing to go through and we feel so fortunate to have had a happy ending.
I'm so sorry about your puppy. It is way too sad when a doggo doesn't get to live a long life, but I'm sure she was very well loved by you 💜

It was the worst 😭. I wonder every day what on earth he did every single minute of every day of the 8 days. Apparently he did a good job at staying safe and not going too far though in the horrible winter weather we had. Thank you 💕

It took a lot of practice to get the hang of sublimation. I've messed up so many mugs trying to learn how 😅
I buy the mugs that come with a box, and then I actually wrap that box that comes with mug in the green wrap like you use, and put that box in another box. The box that it comes with is pretty small, it is pretty much the exact same size as the mug, so double boxing it isn't an issue, but they also cost more too, so it's a trade off. But I only buy in small batches bc I don't make that many mug sales at the moment.

Oh yeah, I've seen those. Selling mugs in general is very pricey - it's like the worst margins of all the stuff I offer.. but they're cute 😩 lol. Thank you so much! 🥰

This video was super helpful, thanks! Is there any way to make hi-quality waterproof stickers that are also eco-friendly?
For stickers to be waterproof, they have to have some type of coating or lamination, so that's what would make it not eco-friendly as then it can't be recycled like regular cardboard and paper, and in nature, if it's waterproof, it can't decompose.

Hooray, it’s Sa....oh, wait. Lol. I’m so glad you’re back and doubly glad Shiko is back! My pup took off on Christmas Day and I was heartbroken, but my kids were even worse so it was mom guilt and sad for dog and we were just a mess! Long winded, but I empathize completely! Side note, maybe I missed it. What size is the mug box? I’m always scared to mail mugs, so I only do local orders.
Hahaha. Sorry for the confusion, but thank you! Oh gosh! That's so sad! They made it back alright? The boxes were 6 x 6 x 7. No need to be scared to ship as long as it's packaged well! These are also insured since I ship via Priority Mail.

Shiko, the one that went missing, is actually not one to run off! His sister is the runner and he just followed her and got lost when she opened our gate. The issue was my husband being distracted and not watching them during their middle of the night potty break 🙃. I'm sure he's learned his lesson now - I never leave them unattended but I was asleep when my husband took them out.

Thank you! I shared all the brand names right before packaging them (ecoenclose, noissueco, bagsandbows, etc) and I also have a video (studio vlog 07) that goes more in depth with a lot of what I use 😊
Using Eco-Enclose, what would you recommend using for paper products? I'm just wondering what to put them in so they don't get wet.
Eco enclose doesn't have this, but I recommend finding glassine in the size that you need for your paper products since glassine is water resistant and recyclable. Put your products in that first and then you can ship using eco enclose rigid mailers.

Probably the same, just in a bigger box with more of the ewrap and spring fill.
I see you don’t use blowout paper. Anyone else not use blowout paper. I did as I’ve sub print pass on with my shirt press on another project.
I use it on my shirt press and used to for mugs, but since I've now made a template that wraps around the entire mug, it seems to work just fine. I've never seen any ink pass through. Could just be the sublimation paper I use too?

I have a question.. do the design for the mugs should be on a transparent background ?? Or if i have them saved on a whit background will it show when its on the mug? I mean the white border..
Aw, thank you so much! 🥰 The mug designs can have a white background! The printer won't print anything for pure white. I save mine on white backgrounds.

The cost of the ink for the sawgrass turned me off from that one. Plus, the max size is 8.5 x 11. I have the Epson 7710 and love that I can print 13x19.
I do hope shiko stays put. I think I would have died if mine went missing for 8 days. The longest Lucy ever got loose was for a few hours. Thank goodness I live in such a small town, every one that saw us looking for her was always willing to help.
