Finding love is hard and it doesn't stop there. Nurturing a relationship, keeping it going can be sometimes hard as well. I find that people have often very high expectations which is okay but at the end of the day nobody is perfect. I believe we need to allow ourselves to be vulnerable and accepting the other person's imperfections (to a reasonable extent - now where is that line? That is a question.) A place for social gatherings with music sounds promising in any case!
A thought provoking video. Deep, in-person relationships are at the core of our sense of belonging, well being and connectedness. Perhaps it's a matter of separating digital from nomad. There are many digital workers/business owners now - that decide to stick to one geographic location and set roots there. By set roots, I mean: taking steps to establish a social circle which mostly doesn't consist of nomads. For example, meeting people that are into the same sports or music as you or have another common interest, is a great way to create relationships with non-nomads. The same applies when it comes to pursuing romantic relationships - don't pursue people that are from the onset, decided that they aren't sticking to a single geography long-term. At best, they are in the vacation-romance mindset, when it comes to relationships. You want to set roots in a place, with people that have already set roots there or are taking steps to set roots there - so that you can live the life you want, while enjoying the flexibility that comes with remote work.
