I’m going to GET you Jackzillionson I mean it with my entire self. Death threats out of the way… ONTO ACTUAL COMMENTARY:
This is literally the coolest thing literally ever just the fact that you were able to make an entire animatic in such a short amount of time is genuinely SO impressive. Not only that, but you managed to make a VERY GOOD INCREDIBLY WELL PUT TOGETHER animatic in that amount of time… it boggles my mind. It’s really obvious how much love and care was put into this because all the little details that I somehow keep finding more of in every rewatch-like, you can really tell that you wholeheartedly care about this roleplay because there’s just so many small things and scenes from it that were incorporated here. I literally cannot mention them all because… we’d be here all day but I WILL mention my favorites. The one part where a bunch of scene pop up over each other has so many but I legit smiled and giggled seeing the little scene where Kai was messing with SharkBait & when Misao threw the box at Mush IT’S SOOOOO GOOD AND ALSO CUTE. ALSO (specific to me I suppose) DAUPHIN’S BELONGINGS SHOWING UP AT THEIR DEATH SCENE IS SUUUUUCH A SMALL TINY DETAIL BUT THE FACT YOU PUT IT THERE MAKES ME GO AUAGAUAGH. Same with Juno’s hat and Mike’s shoes being in the background of Isadoro’s death scene oh my GOOOOODNESSSSSS
The way this is all told is so concise and easy to understand that someone with no knowledge of Lament could probably discern a lot of what happened, but it also gives a ton of little specific things that only hashtag TRUE LAMENTERS will get… UGH IT’S SO SMART! I LOVE YOUR STORYTELLING SO MUCH! The TOS roles showing up is also such a good detail AND THE WAY IT’S FORMATTED TO GO “NIGHT”/CHAPTER BY NIGHT/CHAPTER IS SOOOOOO CLEVER AND CLEAN!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE
Onto the actual art. There’s not much to say dude I always love your art so much. The color palette for this is gorgeous! The Kentaro doomsaying scene with the victims as cards in particular is so pretty… I also adore seeing your animations always they’re so smooth but snappy MWAH MWAH MWAH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH GUYS DO YOU GET IT. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. DO YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND I DON’T THINK YOU DO AUAGAHAGAUAYAGAUAGUAHAUAH 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 I have so much more to say but I think this is already an embarrassingly long comment so I’ll just leave it like this. This is about a collaborative story called Lament that my friends and I worked on together, it's a little difficult to share a lot about it since there's so many people involved and it all took place on Discord, but some of my friends have made other animatics about it!
