Thanks Dusty!! Just received mine and wished I'd seen this review before I'd ordered...I'm exchanging them for a 1/2 size bigger. As anxious as I am to get these out on the trail, I know I'll be happier with a slightly bigger size...and you're right, it's more the width vs. the length. The length is fine...width, a bit too snug. This is like my 7th pair of LaSportivas so I obviously love them and the fit works for my foot. Anxious to see your final review...as soon as I get my new pair and get them on the trail, I'll be sure to swing back to also leave my $.02.
@@RunningWithDusty well the first verdict is regarding the size...they just went back late last week and the slightly larger size hasn't arrived. I'm hoping for great things as I've had like 7-8 different styles of LaSportiva and mountaineering boots over the years...they just fit me well. As soon as I get them and I get some miles on them, I'll respond back here...please feel free to send another reminder if you don't hear back from me by February. I'm moving on from Salomon's gaitered trail shoes which have worked well for me the last 3-4 years.
So I sent them back AND sadly, the next 1/2 size (or even full size) is out of stock :-( Looks like I'll have to wait until they return in the fall, or search some other sites. So for this Winter, I'll stick with my Salomon Snow Spikes, which I have been happy with, just that they're near end of life @@RunningWithDusty
I've actually switched these from my running rotation to wearing them at work as I wasn't running in them enough. I walk anywhere from 25-35k steps/day and they've been great. No issues with durability and the waterproof has been the best I've ever tried.
@RunningWithDusty Thank you very much for the reply! I am currently debating whether to buy a "Cyclon Cross" or a "Tx Top" if I plan to use them in the city for about 5 years or longer, the Cyclon is lighter and much better for running, and the Tx Top should have excellent wear resistance, I especially liked the material of the Tx Top gaiters, it is as durable as the Alpine series
Why does lasportiva not offer different colors besides the black, maybe, blue, some kind of green, etc I mean give people choices ??? I just bought the blizzard and planning on buying this cyklon cross gtx, but I hate black color on it and I have no choice ! and I’m little bit disappointed because there are no choices -colors to pick from -
Which can I get all like this one except w a standard lacing system??(I particularly love the lugs on outsole...
Check out La Sportiva Blizzard GTX
very good review, do you recommend does shoes as approach shoes for mountaineering or would you recommend another model? Thank you for your answer

What about durability of all upper materials and membrane?
