Yes, and to think that since the 1970s the U.S. uniform/"iconic" outfit has been the blue jeans and a white T-shirt..I mean, really, people? That's not bad, it's minimalist and versatile, but is it really the best we can do as casual dressing? I'm not saying we all have to be as committed as Dita von Teese, but come on now.
Depends on the city... I live in a small town in Italy and here everything looks "overdressed" and you will get looks if you wear something a bit more sophisticated...
For ladies in school (middle, high, and college): You could go for the "jeans and a nice top" look then add a layering piece like a cute sweater or cardigan then add some cute shoes (such as neutral colored tennis shoes, pointy toe flats, cute oxfords, etc) this has been my look for years while in school and it has never failed me- it's so classic :)
I have found some great dresses on Amazon for $30 or $40. They have a great and easy return policy so you can try it on at home and then send it back if it's not just right for you. Only keep what is perfect. Lark and Ro has done great dresses on Amazon that are great fit and flattering on a budget.
Have you tried Chicwish and Shein? Chicwish is a little more expensive, but they have sales! With Shein I am just extremely careful and always look at the fabric/material of the clothes I'd be buying. I actually shop by material, not style, color, etc. Because I know that if it's not good material (pure, 100% cotton, for example), it's not going to last me and it's likely to not be good for my skin (polyester, and cheap poly blends, I'm looking at you). And of course, thrift stores, thrift stores, thrift stores.. especially those in affluent areas where people give away designer or vintage clothing because of minimal flaws (a present they didn't like, in a color/material they didn't like, etc).
If you live by a Dillard’s Clearance Center - they have amazing finds if you have time to hunt. Thrift stores and consignment stores are also good. These you will need time to hunt, but it is also fun. Fashion doesn’t have to cost a lot. I never buy full price. Clearance racks are also amazing. I buy winter stuff in the beginning of summer - cheap deals!
No one cares how you dress in Uni. So dressing modestly and feminine, you won't be ostracized; but You'll look better than most students. If you follow what she said in the video, you'll be great
I struggle with the graphic tees and child-like clothing, but yesterday I was thinking about this video and got my first floral shirt! My husband said it looks amazing on me ♡
I'll admit, I try to be as feminine as possible, but I refuse to compromise certain aspects of my fashion for it. I am a Goth and proud of it, which sometimes means that people may consider me "scary" or "threatening." But personally, I *LOVE* this. Why? Because when people *ASSUME* that how you dress dictates your personality, it *REALLY* catches them off guard when you are sweet and friendly and 100% opposite of the stereotype. Although I do *ADORE* my spiked platform boots and riveted trenchcoats, many Gothic pieces are very feminine in nature and I do mix in a fair amount of those with the spikes and the chains. ♥ Even though I'm not going to do much with the information given here, I love your videos and think that everything you mentioned here was valid. Sending you little black hearts and happy bats ♥ ~Phantom
Funny you say that, there was this girl in my college class her wardrobe was all black but her poise, speech, her style was soooooo nice that she made it work. She would use platform shoes and earrings but she always look put together. And you know what's funny? I'm more in the colorful side and we'd sit next to each other in class and upfront so it was always a ying-yang moment in class.
I definitely have some work to do. I’m on a self love journey(after getting out of a unhappy relationship) and I started investing in my femininity. I have so many masculine & dark clothing to the point that I started investing in new feminine clothing. I also started a skincare routine, hair care routines, healthy eating habits and cleaning habits. I really appreciate this video.
I love thrift shop finds. Sometimes I get it home and it doesn't fit right but with the money I've saved I can afford to get it tailored to fit my body do it looks do much better ❤️
OH!!! And doll, I will say this... having spiky outfits can give a spiky message, but as with everything in life... what matters is how you carry yourself. For example, when I wear my spikes, leather, chains and spiderwebs, I *ALWAYS* do so with a smile. Not just because I am happiest when dressed this way, but also because I am very aware that how I look can come across as "evil," "wicked," or "threatening." I have had *SO* many wonderful conversations with people and have made great friends with "normies" via my fashion... because sometimes people come up to you to say something rude, and when you turn it around and act very friendly, it opens up room for conversation. Obviously this isn't always the case, but I find that it is more often than not. I'm not a expert in being feminine as you are, but I will say that it is possible to be feminine and pleasant even when dressed in the darkest and spookiest fashion. If you ever want to collab on video covering how to carry yourself like a lady in public for Alternative Fashion gals, I think we could have some fun together! 😂
Love this comment. I feel like different people have different perceptions of what being/acting like/dressing like a lady means, and each one of us should try our best to honor 'our' perception rather than buying into someone else's perception of what being a lady entails. A lot of people 'subconsciously' do certain things because it gets them a stamp of approval from those around. My point is, we shouldn't be scared of facing disapproval. We should try our best to live in alignment with our authentic selves :)
I like that you added this perspective. As someone who wears only black & white (kind of in a mod 60’s style) it’s refreshing to hear another woman speak on this also being feminine. I’m the girliest girly girl in the world but just feel more comfortable in this palette.✨
Can you do a video on how to be ladylike and avoid mistakes while eating in public or just being in public (dropped a fork at a fancy restaurant yesterday 🤦🏽♀️ everyone looked so embarrassing)
Dropping a fork at a restaurant is nothing to worry about. There’s an etiquette rule for that, and it’s that you should never pick it up from the floor; instead you should call the waiter, tell what happened and ask politely for another fork. The waiter will pick it up.
I read many books on etiquette when I was in high school. You might be able to find some in your public library. I learned that tip from one of those books :)
NotYourTypicalMidwife hi there!! I’m a college student loving Mrs. Midwest’s channel and trying to improve my overall image and just be more ladylike. Now although I understand there’s all these rules for proper etiquette I simply disagree with making a waiter do something I can easily do myself. I love helping servers out and being polite to everyone and for example in the grocery store I hate workers having to bag my stuff, sure if they have nothing else to do but really that’s a task I can easily do on my own. Do you have any thoughts on this? I’m sure you may disagree but is it that bad if you just pick up the fork? I mean it takes two seconds and I’m not sure I would agree with these rules if they simply make it difficult for everyone involved
I highly recommend any woman looking into changing her style and finding what looks best on you to research the Kibbe body types. It’s completely changed how I view myself and it made me understand why some elements I over the years found out work for me do. Aly Art has some very good videos about it.
chilloften yeah I found her because her video about bangs was recommended to me, and I of course ended up finding her Kibbe videos and now I’m hooked! Fashion makes so makes so much more sense now. It made me understand why sometimes dressing up like a minimalist made me look completely boring or why too much overt femininity makes me look like I’m playing dress up. I’m a soft gamine, and finding out what lines work for me allowed me to finally dress how I want to dress and be perceived how I want to in a way that actually looks good on me. Mrs Midwest I’m almost sure is a soft dramatic, and it’s amazing how she seems to already gravitate towards what looks good for her type. I suppose we all do to some degree, but it really changes everything when you understand why something works instead of just knowing it does. There’s some other channels that also talk about Kibbe, but Aly I think is one of the women who explains it best. And she has a lovely personality too, which helps :)
I agree, I love Aly Art and the Kibbe Body type series! But personally, I think Mrs Midwest is rather a classic or even a romantic body type. Her features are to round and soft to be a soft dramatic :D
Recently I have gotten rid of all of my black because it is just not a feminine color. Remember they used to wear all black to funerals and afterwords. I now wear lighter colors that are uplifting
Actually black can also be a very alluring, chic, mysterious color if paired nicely. For example, a black turtleneck paired witht dainty jewelry such as earings and a necklace, and a nice bottom looks gorgeous with some heels.
Hi Kaite, if you love your black and you want to look ladylike, you can opt for black fashions in very feminine and classy cuts and/or incorporates a bit of lace or ruching, silk, bows, all can 'soften' black attire. And a nude shoe always helps ❤😘
Preach!!! My family NEVER leaves the house without our “Sunday best” on. My kids dress 1950’s appropriate, button down shirts and dresses. Yes even to the playground. It’s cotton and not expensive. I learned to sew to be able to customize their wardrobe. We get asked everyday “it must be a special day” nope just a Monday! Be a walking statement that says I disagree with this modern age.
She’s so Lucky Thank you! And I’m also a sucker for well dressed children. I do find that people seem so happy and surprised by my kids appearance and manners. My kids say please and thank you and shake hands and always say “have a nice day” when they are done interacting with someone. I’m told all the time “you are doing a great job” strangers just walk up to me and say it out of the blue. I think society is starved for it to be honest. I always tell people I wanted 10 kids and feel bad I stopped at 4 and I ask if they have kids or just say “wait till you have kids, it’s the best” I try to acknowledge that I see what I do as different, that raising kids doesn’t have to be the way it’s currently seen. I have an Instagram account called @raisingtradkids I post their outfits and book recommendations and things we do with our kids that are pretty much the things Mrs Midwest says. I can see my children developing self respect. They don’t have a huge wardrobe and we don’t emphasis things over experiences and I think that’s the difference between raising vain and self important kids vs kids with manners and good self respect ❤️
I had just told a friend of mine last month its a shame our young women are not taught to be a lady anymore...then your channel popped up in my feed... Im subscribed and grateful for your speaking on such matters!!! 💗💗💗💗💗💗
Wonderful video! I’d love a video talking about looking and staying ladylike in hot weather. I live on a tropical island (no air conditioning either!) and it’s summer year round. There’s almost no avoiding a light sheen of sweat (no matter how light the activity), frizzy hair, and limited wardrobe choices (must wear cotton or other breathable fabrics, and I’m often in shorts out of pure desperation). Ideas for staying fresh and tidy in such conditions would be welcome!
Ruth E in summer here I usually go for an updo because of frizz (i have 3a shoulder length hair) and avoid foundation sticking with waterproof breathable make up instead. I also prefer light summer dresses buuut for practically i think shorts are probably your best option as im sure you figured out. I try to lean towadd extremely feminine cloths. So yes im wearing shorts but theyre a floral or darkwash and they pair well with a flowy girly top. I hope that helped a little im obviously not at all an expert
@@faithsimmerman5352 thank you! My hair is alwaysss in an updo, but I definitely need to learn a few new ways to style it besides a frizzy bun :D Light summer dresses are my current obsession but I'm cycling through the same three - deff need to get a few more when I can afford it. Flowy tops are a must with shorts for sure!
I have the hardest time finding my own personal feminine style! I have a very small chest so a lot of dresses don’t flatter me. I need to find a personal stylist. 😂
I also have a small chest and I find that the most flattering tops/dresses for small chest are with a turtleneck, I'm wearing a turtle neck tops all year round [in the summer crop tops with a turtleneck]
I have the opposite problem. I’ve always thought people with smaller chests have it easier because everything fits. I have such hard luck trying to find things that fit my 40G chest and 26” waist :( nothing that fits my waist will go up over my chest, and nothing that fits my chest cinches in at the waist. Us women have it hard in the clothes department finding things that work!!! Lol
One of my favorite ways to dress is feminine with a bit of edge. There are many ways to combine styles to match your personality. If I dressed overly feminine and frilly, I wouldn't look authentic. But if I dress too edgy, it's easy to appear stand offish. To help my style match my personality, I like to pair edgy jewelry with feminine silhouettes. If I feel like wearing all black or even more edgy silhouettes, I pair it with colorful, more feminine accessories. It's an easy way to find balance with my style!
i love wearing navy, olive green, and mustard/brown. i love going for that ugly-pretty style, where it's a feminine cut w a less feminine/more earthy color, or a masculine cut w pretty embroidery or feminine details.
Knowing your style personality is key. Large ruffles and lots of lace look frumpy on me. The garment wears me verses me wearing the garment. On the other spectrum, I look childish with tiny details such as pin tucks and small prints like calico or tiny ginham checks. What I look best in is a true classic style solids, tweeds, herringbone, balanced symmetrical prints not too tiny and not too large. Clean lines. Also modern minimalistic styles look very chic on me. Think Audrey Hepburn, Katharine Hepburn,1940's 50's style. That's me. However, what looks classy, sophisticated and feminine on me for instance, would look boring on Mrs. Midwest, who is more of what is called a 'romantic' personality style. More Marilyn Monroe or Mae West. I can combine some 'town and country' elements when I want certain casual or flirty dressy feel. Knowing your 'style personality' and combing with everything Mrs. Midwest says here is a winning formula for a positive feminine presence. 💞
@@riacraig526 yes!!! This is such an important point. Our clothes should compliment us, not over power us. There are many versions of feminine/lady-like style. We each have to find what works for us and conveys our personalities :)
"Clothing that hides your beauty/personality, looks unfriendly it prevents people from getting to know you, our clothing is a way to communicate who we are" I love your advice!!
I don't own pants or shorts but if I go hiking or to the track / swimming I'll wear a "sporty" skirt, so calf length and stretchy to accommodate movement, etc. Love your videos! So encouraging!
New York & Company and SheIn (can be a hit or miss) has great affordable feminine and modest clothing. I only shop at NY&C when they have a sale; they have great door busters. Also I encourage women of all ages to know their body type so they can dress for their shape. There are plenty of videos on YT about this my favorite are from Justine. When I started doing that my clothing looked better. Remember you don't need to wear revealing clothing to be sexy, confidence is sexy so if you have that you'll be beautiful and attractive in almost anything you wear.
I have spent years dressing really casual/with a masculine/dark edge, and for me I was dealing with a lot of emotional issues - I didn't care or respect myself enough to take care of myself, but also I didn't think I deserved to look nice or feel good. It gave me anxiety to feel noticed so I wore baggy clothes, mens shirts, just tied my hair back etc. Any time I attended a party I'd be a tiny step more casual than everyone else so I wouldn't be noticed because I couldn't handle feeling vulnerable. So I can't speak for everyone, but you're spot on from my perspective. Since Christmas I've been massively working on myself, and I'm to the point now where I'm starting to re-vamp my style, I'm trying to figure out my colours/my more feminine look :)
Marissa Anderson thank you for your very personal response. I hope you’re feeling better with every step you take! It is not easy... but I wish you all the courage and hope you need!! For my part: I always used to adapt clothing/style-wise to my peers, even as adult. I just wanted to fit in. During my depression I kinda broke out and wore whatever 😅 Now that I am better and also not in my old environment anymore I’m trying to figure out who I want to be.
Lol I’m so unladylike 😂 especially in the dark, unfriendly, aggressive and casual categories! But I always have my makeup 💄 on and hair long and flowing 💁🏻♀️
She's right. The feminine factor plays a huge part in attraction; the right type of attraction. For example, over 4th of July saw this great looking guy and guess who he's with? A girl wearing a beautiful sundress. She wasn't the most beautiful and was a little I won't say fat--pleasantly full figure-but she was with I must admit a very attractive guy. Hate these new jeans with holes in them and refuse to buy them.
I love this! I just threw out a stack of InStyle and Marie Claire magazines today that had fashion spreads with titles on them such as "BadAss Babes" and "Why Androgyny is Back." And I cancelled my subscriptions. Mrs. Midwest, you are a desperately needed breath of fresh air! Please keep it coming! :)
I love your channel and I really want to recommend a style theory that saved my tush. It's called Kibbe theory and merriam style is an excellent youtuber on the rise who has what I've found to have the most thoughtful content on it and is really soothing to listen to.
Love this!!! When I think of famous women who are ladylike it’s Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton. They possess an elegance even in casual dress. My number 1 rule is: Never do, say, or wear something that would embarrass your Grandmother. ❤️
I am looking forward to watch part 2 of this video. And also, it will be helpful for me if you talk about clothing brands or website e-shopping because I have such a hard time getting this type of clothes.
I think the biggest key to most of these steps is to choose your outfits in advance. Before I worked from home, I would look at the weather forecast for the week and put my outfits together for work. This helped me to choose outfits that were appropriate in the event I had somewhere to go after work as well. It also helped me to pay attention to how often I wore each piece of clothing so that I was making full use of my wardrobe. When you're running late for work or an event, you tend to fall back on pieces you have worn time and time again.
Absolutely love this, what an awesome and original idea! I would love to see a video going in deeper to this topic from practical generality to specifics. Discussing current fashion trends that we may slip into that take away from femininity would be incredibly helpful to those of us who find it easy to fall into just going along with trends because its what everyone else is doing and not noticing negative aspects that more experienced and fashionable women do. (unflattering, off putting, masculine, trashy, etc.) Thank you for putting your time and work in for us, you’ve changed my perspective on everything women! You’re helping women come home to their true nature in such a graceful and humble way. xoxo 💕💐
I'm starting basically from scratch. Everything about me is casual and unladylike, but I want to change and be more mature and put together for my age. I have two kids and it's difficult sometimes, but I know if I can put in some effort that it'll be worth it. I don't have any ladylike clothes, basically no jewelry, cheap bare bones makeup that I rarely use, and not a single clue what to do with my hair. I'm 35 and looking up basic makeup and hair tutorials. It's a shame, but I'm trying! I'm so glad I found your channel!
You have just schooled me in such a practical, nuanced and clear way. Many thanks, since watching your videos I have seen a gentle femininity blooming in my life! God Bless xx
Talk of flattering..those colours are very flattering on you! ♡ I thi k style tips on dressing w thick sweaters would be helpful, winters coming! I love me a wollen skirt but sadly its hard to promote:(
Oh My God ! I think you should write a book on this topic ! U have no words to express how I'm feeling ! You are excellent in communicating your thoughts, not only by speaking but... By behaviour, body language and every medium ! I would like to read something written by you !
Peer groups can be a huge problem. However, you must overcome a peer group that is keeping you down. It is said that we live in a cafe society. I look at you. You look at me. Give them something worthwhile to look at. Very good video. I hope that it reaches those who need it most.
Happy Anniversary! Loved this video. I am grandmother age and work really hard not to look frumpy. At this age you want to dress age appropriate but not like an old lady. I like to be stylish and have figure flattering clothes. Fun shoes and accessories really help.
I've found that as long as you have a nice disposition and pleasant demeanor, and you're wearing 'unwelcoming' clothing, you will quickly weed out 'fake' people. (I know you said these tips aren't for everyone, lol, but I really agree with most of what you say)
As allways, I appreciate your respectful and kind approach, even when you are openly sharing your opinions! ☀️ As much as I love playing around with my style: sometimes wearing something quite provocative and other times very child like, it is so important to realize that as fun as these styles can be, they aren’t approriate in all occasions! - I never have to leave your channel feeling hurt and humiliated, even when I may not always 100% agree on everything. Your gorgeous looks have nothing on your kind and genuine wisdom. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is a very helpful video! In my middle school and early high school days I had my style ALL WRONG... I would wear unflattering clothing that was masculine and filled with dark colors. Now I've completely changed, because I realized that I didn't look ladylike. This video really sums up how to fix it, thank you!
I need some advice! I always suppressed my feminine side, but now I feel more comfortable with myself and my femininity thanks to your videos! My masculine side comes back when I’m in the presence of a men who isn’t very masculine. How do stay payed back and let the men lead? Love your videos!! 💕
I dress goth but in ethereal way kind of like a forest witch. It’s interesting to see people with a different lifestyle. I feel myself when I am goth but I am happy that you express these style tips.
This was a great video! One of the most important lessons in etiquette:dressing appropriately for the occasion/for the message you want to convey to others. Also, you have the prettiest hair, it looks so golden and lush!
I love this content! I hope everything is well with your little boys. If you get time, could you please do more of these types of videos, maybe even a thrift clothing haul, what you have in your closet etc? You look beautiful xxx
Mrs Midwest, could you please make a video about your favourite outfits and dresses for the week? I tnink all of your dresses are so beautiful and I love to see what different dresses you have in your wardrobe and how you like to dress up :)
Hi Cait! Adore your channel. This is a little random, but would you be able to do a video on dressing femininely in cold weather? I know your background is also Canadian, so maybe you can empathize, but I tend toward the same enormous fleece-lined flannels when it gets icey, and would really love to get to wear something that shows a bit more polished and tact. They're becoming pieces that are sort of giving me grief, even just hanging in my closet in anticipation for the winter.
I don't love the idea that graphic tees and crops tops means sacrificing "looking ladylike" and being feminine. Can't women look feminine/nice in casual clothing? No hate of course, just a thought :)
I'm just a viewer but I think we all need to be careful of [putting ourselves in little neat boxes. I dob't take all of this advice and people shouldn't blindly follow every single thing here! You can wear those with feminine hair and makeup or you can just wear them how you want. No one is the same 100% of th3 time. I thihk i'ts sad to keep ourselves chained to one way of anything. Be you!
I disagree with black or leather clothes looking unladylike. Many people can wear all black and spike earrings and look femenine and regal. Like the wife in the Adam's family. And some people may be attracted to that energy as well
Thrift store and college budget lady like outfits would be great! Also tips on ladylike tips for college class/ interacting with people at work. Would be great!
I used to put in an effort into what I wore. But then I got pregnant and started wearing all of my fiance's shirts. Becauae cute maternity outfits are waaaay to expensive when you are a lower middle class family. Hopefully after baby I can get back into what cute clothes I have left.
Going off what Hannah Riddle said, could you do a version of how to dress like this in high school as well? Sometimes it’s difficult to both dress ladylike and look your age when most ladylike stores cater to people older than me while stores for my age are very casual and immodest
Elise Dobrzynski hi, i'm in high school as well and i think i dress quite ladylike :) stores like gap, h&m, and even the thrift store have some very pretty yet affordable pieces if you know what you're looking for. extremely formal wear tends to age you, so go for clean, well fitted, more casual versons of the typical mature styles :)
It’s interesting because the whole casual look is mostly popular in America but places like Paris, Korea and Italy dress nicely and very put together.
Yes, and to think that since the 1970s the U.S. uniform/"iconic" outfit has been the blue jeans and a white T-shirt..I mean, really, people? The topic feminine style is so underrated
That is true, I'm so glad she is talking about it
So true. I wore a very elegant dress at a wedding and I was better dressed than the bride. Even the groom said it (he’s my cousin so no weird drama).

Thrift stores my friend! They have nice name brand things for cheap. Lots of feminine clothing there.
Thank you for the suggestions! I will look into both of them!

The young female teenagers and young college students need to hear this! Love your blog.
I love how you put example pictures in this video!
Video request: feminine sleepwear 🛏 🌙
Really though... you'll be asleep and no one can see you unless you're still 15 and have sleepovers
@@noellabezzle3044 unless ur married... and even if someone is not they might be one day its great practice 😊
@Princess EXACTLY 😆 all I’m saying is there probably wouldn’t be a video out there like it 👚🧦🤷🏽♀️

Yes!
I sleep in old clothes. Would love something nicer for my partner.
School of affluence has a good video about this. She recommends silk or satin, a nice rob, or feminine pajama sets.
Can you do a video on how to be ladylike and avoid mistakes while eating in public or just being in public (dropped a fork at a fancy restaurant yesterday 🤦🏽♀️ everyone looked so embarrassing)
Don‘t be too harsh on yourself...mistakes happen to everybody 💕
NotYourTypicalMidwife oh my goodness ! But based on your name, I'd love videos from you!!!!
I'm a working women. We're both from different worlds but I get her. She's got good intentions. Her advices come from a place of love. Thank you MM 🙏
Your mannerism and voice reminds me of a Disney princess👸
this video is something all young women should watch.
Absolutely love your channel, blog, and Instagram. Highlight of my internet life!
You're gorgeous girl!
Kendra Johnson Thank you!💓💓
I highly recommend any woman looking into changing her style and finding what looks best on you to research the Kibbe body types. It’s completely changed how I view myself and it made me understand why some elements I over the years found out work for me do. Aly Art has some very good videos about it.
Marina m I love Aly, her voice so soothing to.
chilloften yeah I found her because her video about bangs was recommended to me, and I of course ended up finding her Kibbe videos and now I’m hooked!
I adore the color black but it can be a bit...stoic, strong, sassy, mischevious color. I have been working to add more colors.
Recently I have gotten rid of all of my black because it is just not a feminine color. Remember they used to wear all black to funerals and afterwords. I now wear lighter colors that are uplifting
You don't have to wear total black. You can, for example, wear a feminine black skirt with some pastel colored or bright blouse
Actually black can also be a very alluring, chic, mysterious color if paired nicely. For example, a black turtleneck paired witht dainty jewelry such as earings and a necklace, and a nice bottom looks gorgeous with some heels.
definitely agree w adding some color, but i wouldn't count black out entirely! even a red lip can punch up a black outfit.
Absolutely love what you’re wearing in this video. You’re so elegant!
I wish they had classes for the type of content of your videos in high school ❤️
Julia D This is what finishing school was for many years ago. Slowly over the years it’s become a lost style.
Ruth E same here, I'd love a video on this
Same need a video all about this please! I’m tired of doing my hair just to step outside and have it poof because of humidity
Exactly!
Flowy tops are a must with shorts for sure!
as a man, i absolutely agree here. the way a girl dresses immediately tells me a lot about her level of awareness and where her consciousness is at.
I have the hardest time finding my own personal feminine style! I have a very small chest so a lot of dresses don’t flatter me. I need to find a personal stylist. 😂
Allison at Home but you have gorgeous red hair! I’ve always wanted that!!!
Check out two channels. Mirium Style, and Alley Art. Kibbe style is the game changer.
I have a small chest too, 32a,and I found that Wiggle dresses make me look and feel very nice and feminine :)
Yuck. Feminine and edgy don't mix. You probably think your style looks good, but it most likely looks off.
@@racheid77 sounds lovely! I love that "ugly pretty" style!
This is the best shirt Ive ever seen you in! I want it... but you wear it so well. Modest, yet, wow
Jamie Germaniuk I wish I could find clothes like this!!
@@julia9557 me too. I quickly try to find something similar online after i saw her wearing it.
Fiqa Feminine Hijabi did you find?
Sweetheart, i just found you today, watched one video and you already have changed my heart!
Can you link your dress? It's soo pretty!

Theresa Pueyo she prob got it from the thrift store lol
Amazing
Very interesting!! Made me think about this: do some women dress un-feminine, for example more masculine or dark, to not feel vulnerable?
During my depression I kinda broke out and wore whatever 😅 Now that I am better and also not in my old environment anymore I’m trying to figure out who I want to be.
totally at least that was the case for me
Lol I’m so unladylike 😂 especially in the dark, unfriendly, aggressive and casual categories! But I always have my makeup 💄 on and hair long and flowing 💁🏻♀️
Combinations of ladylike and something else a little spicy can be really intriguing and beautiful IMO 😊😘😘

The lady at 9:46 has the most fabulous outfit on and looks AMAZING WOW. Loved this video!
I love your channel and I really want to recommend a style theory that saved my tush. It's called Kibbe theory and merriam style is an excellent youtuber on the rise who has what I've found to have the most thoughtful content on it and is really soothing to listen to.
I always look forward to her videos! Love from Chicago!
Love this!!! When I think of famous women who are ladylike it’s Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton. They possess an elegance even in casual dress. My number 1 rule is: Never do, say, or wear something that would embarrass your Grandmother. ❤️
you're a blessing to the modern women who wanna have a ladylike style.. lots of love from NY
I am looking forward to watch part 2 of this video. And also, it will be helpful for me if you talk about clothing brands or website e-shopping because I have such a hard time getting this type of clothes.
surprisingly I find a lot of feminine clothes in thrift stores
Another wonderful video. You look beautiful in that dress. The color palette suits you so well. 💕☺️
You have just schooled me in such a practical, nuanced and clear way. Many thanks, since watching your videos I have seen a gentle femininity blooming in my life! God Bless xx
Would you consider doing a podcast?😊 I would adore it if you would, and I’m sure many others would too! You are simply a breath of fresh air.
I’m glad you had pics of the Duchess! Kate’s my fashion role-model!!

I’ve been so busy this past week! Can’t wait to binge watch these videos tonight!!!!
As much as I love playing around with my style: sometimes wearing something quite provocative and other times very child like, it is so important to realize that as fun as these styles can be, they aren’t approriate in all occasions!
Caitlin, I am binge watching your videos from 2019 again and I just realized this colour suits you so well. :)
I need some advice! I always suppressed my feminine side, but now I feel more comfortable with myself and my femininity thanks to your videos! My masculine side comes back when I’m in the presence of a men who isn’t very masculine. How do stay payed back and let the men lead?
Love your videos!! 💕
Omg i feel u sis 😓
This is so refreshing a message to hear today. So many women where i live go around looking like a mess, and it's just sad.
I almost wish I had a guide, like here's what's good for the grocery store, here's work, etc.
I dress goth but in ethereal way kind of like a forest witch. It’s interesting to see people with a different lifestyle. I feel myself when I am goth but I am happy that you express these style tips.
Goth can be tuned down when appropriate
oh my goodness where is your dress or shirt from 😨😨💖💖help a girl out i love it so much!
Yes thank you Mrs Midwest! I live for your videos!
Thank you for this videos, I'm going back to college soon, and I want to dress more ladylike this year
This was a great video! One of the most important lessons in etiquette:dressing appropriately for the occasion/for the message you want to convey to others. Also, you have the prettiest hair, it looks so golden and lush!

Where do you go shopping for clothes? I wanna start dressing more ladylike but don’t know where to go?
Other than purple, you look so lovely on this colour as well! It exudes a very soft looking. To conclude, feminine woman is very ladylike.
I love this content! I hope everything is well with your little boys. If you get time, could you please do more of these types of videos, maybe even a thrift clothing haul, what you have in your closet etc? You look beautiful xxx
I needed this!! I’ve been thinking about this a lot. Also I’m Getting my license renewed today. Wondering what to wear in the new picture
Sasset Sheldon what did you end up wearing!!
My biggest dream is to start a family with a Lady as beautiful, classy and intelligent as you. Beijinhos from Portugal.
Mrs Midwest, could you please make a video about your favourite outfits and dresses for the week? I tnink all of your dresses are so beautiful and I love to see what different dresses you have in your wardrobe and how you like to dress up :)
I absolutely love your dress 💚
Im.so happu to see an american asking not to wear revealing clothes ! Ur so right . Love from India
Seema Khan There are many of us, but they won't show that.
Love the dress you have on today!! So beautiful. Thanks for all the tips.
And some people may be attracted to that energy as well
I loved this video! I'm hopeing for more to come. Could you please create a video recommending some ladylike closet essentials? Thanks!
This is not something I would personally follow but what a mood
I just LOVE your dress!! It really does seem to make you more pretty!
I would love to see outfits of the week type of videos to give us an idea of what to wear
