Keeping most your ship under water can lead to your turret caps getting hit a lot more than usual. not a big problem when you have a big superstructure or decoys
I am stupid enough to make a ship that flat and long. Mine will fight the gimle soon enough so you will see her! Her name is the Starfall and for most of her 500m length she is only 6m tall Your ship was a big influence too, I did a lot of silly things with bread like the variable speed cram and it will dip down whenever a cram comes near so I dodge crams really often
Having followed the entire complete ship guide (not retrofit) and testing it against my own ships and other designs, I can confidently say that the complete ship is much more optimized to take out multiple smaller targets and aircraft much better than most of my ships. However it does pale in comparison when up against 1v1s most of the time. (I threw it against an old design of mine (when dediblades were still a thing) with 3 massive railguns (that can pop the tyr’s turrets) at roughly the same cost and complete ship did not win 😅) It was a good guide series! The aps in the initial series was very underwhelming tho I felt.
Drakenslang actually holds up pretty decently against fire, in my experience, just through sheer *bigness*. With the notable exception of the boilers - one fire there and the *whole compartment* goes.
Dunno - maybe.. There's probably more efficient weapons for short range short term fights. CRAMs are good for anti fortress action of course, for finishing immobilized targets and - for depleting active defenses - you don't always need to hit with the CRAM shell for it to be useful..
i am dumb enought to build a 80k block ship

That sounds hilarious and fun! :D
Stone is only twice as expensive as wood, and is fire resistant.
And _heavy..._
@@kylestanley7843 it's still relativly light.
Like metal, it's only just a hair heavier than neutral buoyancy.
Drakkenslang is fine as it is imo. Shure it spends materials on stuff that wont really help it but it works pretty well.
"Putting wood in armour is now more of a hazard" could it finally be time for Applique Panels?
Yup. 😆👍
Nope aplique burns

That's actually a good point: steam engines probably shouldn't be placed above the waterline anymore. They go fwoosh. 😅
big bote fight... my money's on the draken!
just build a middlebeam out of non fiery material. then you could still spam wood. and or compatmentalize it.
CRAM is probably the best on rushdown frontsiders because at extreme short range evasion is useless.

@@Jawzah A single doomcram hit can cripple a ship and at close range, speed of the tatget is almost irrelevant to a rushdown craft.
Expecting drakky to win, since she dies have a pretty big cost advantage
Drakenslang update builds vid?
I mean, only if people want to see it. :D
Oh boi i dont think youd be able to make the complete ship able to take on the drakkenslang without turning it into a kobold style frontsider
Almost certainly possible with a ship if it uses high speed shells, plasma or large lasers
@@Cobrax_x my main issue is that the hull of the ship doesnt allow for a armor that can stop a cram hit so you would just have to avoid them
wow i want to be there again see you on stream
What do you consider "seriously hurting yourself"
I was exaggerating a bit. I strained my shoulder with bad computer posture. XD
An actually serious hurting of self would require a hospital visit. 🚑
Got any new bread videos in the work??? Or at least you know someone who has videos good breadboard vids?
Great video! Do you have any good APS shells you recommend?
APHE, AP-HEAT, sabot with maximum gunpowder and AP-Frag with a timed fuse to name a few. 👍
Thank you
Do you have a group on steam workshop that people could use for upgrade tiers for adventure mode? Like start at 10k and go up to 2mil?
Not sure what you mean? 😅
