Yes, the input lag seems to be stronger. But this could be a false impression, because you are looking at the action from a much further distance than in the usual 3rd person view.
this is one of few ps2 games i regret i didnt played when i had the console. on my psx driver 2 copy there is advertisement of stuntman with cut/beta vehicle looking similar to venturi
There are times when I see video game cut content and think, "Wow, I can't believe they cut this awesome feature!" This one, however, I can see why. Finally, a way to make Stuntman even harder! It might have been a cool unlock to mess around in Filmography with, though.
I don't think anyone has ever played this game and thought to himself: "you know what this game needs, a completelly vertical helicopter view that is at least 5km away from the action and doesn't even rotate with the vehicle direction. Yeah, that would be super fun!!" But I might be wrong...
You can change the altitude and get a closer look at the car, but then it's even more difficult to see what's ahead... This is the default value as the code set! And I kinda like it, especially when you know by heart the scenes! I also think it's better than the camera does not rotate, it has this Micromachines vibes to it. It has potential!
The whole town just looks smaller with this cool camera, also I can see it's very hard to drive with this camera.

Is it like on the booklet?
@@VortexStory exactly, whole page with two screenshots on back of driver 2 manual, from beta or other early build
Has anyone been able to manipulate the countdown clock to stop? I would love to explore this map and mess with the vehicle physics!
Yes that's possible

Now try completing the scene with active replay cameras...
The "Crash Time" game series have active replay cam too!
Just saying.

A proper showcase & discussion video will follow, including other discoveries

@@VortexStory I don't know man, I wouldn't want to spend much time with such a limited view, specially with how well this game holds up.
