I always prefer the masking method but instead of having the whole rig behind the character, I would just have a singular pole attached to the character, that way I would only have to erase a little bit of a pole rather than having to mask an entire character AND figure out drop shadows using after effects.
I’m in a film class, and stop motion is one of the categories we have to tackle later this semester. I do stop motion with my phone, but I need to figure out how to do it with actual camera and editing software
Thanks for the info on your stop motion im doin one right now thanks for the tip again it will really help me and others who are doin stop motion films
There is onething you got wrong, the body moves back before hey jump forward, the body does not move forward. Unless they are jumping backwards. It’s anticipation

Thenk you so much
And can you using that app to on your tab lad?
Welke app gebruik je
What editor did you use?
I will try to get it right
I would have blurred edges of the drop shadow to make it look more in line with the previous shadows
You can do the rock method with clear bricks if you need to I personally do just because my editing app does not have a masking feature
Great vid, But what about backflips or front flips? For Star Wars and stuff
Film it closely while holding the light saber out of frame
Which video editor are you using?
Thanks for the answer
I use Final Cut Pro for all my content
Question if you’re going to do this with a phone then how do you not show the LEGO parts and show the mini figure jumping
What app did you use please let me know
What software do u use?
Thanks
What I do is take pictures of every angle of the set I am gonna use, put something under the character, and mask the thing under him.
Witch app is that? Witch app are you using?
He's using dragonframe. A program for the computer since he's shooting with a camera. All shown in the beginning of this video.
POV me just using what to bricks uses to move his minifigs
In how many fps you animate?
WHATTT BRO THAT THA-- WHAT
1:32

Clay also works

what app do you use?
For filming I use Dragon frame. For editing I use Final cut Pro
@0:48, unfortunately Dwayne Johnson can't come to my set =D
you can use string too
There is onething you got wrong, the body moves back before hey jump forward, the body does not move forward. Unless they are jumping backwards. It’s anticipation
Menghibur sekali
Can u show us how to make web cam holder?
There was a Lego stop motion vid that used all practical affects no masking the do car crash and complicated.
You could also call this a Lego jumping jacks tutorial ( props if you get the reference)
Or you could get stop motion pro and edit out the thing holding the figure
How do you build the rig out of Lego? Can you please make a tutorial, I need one?!
I Use Stop Motion Studio Pro,Is That Bad?
No its fine, in fact really good
No it’s a pretty good app
Can you use blue tack instead of tape for your sets
Yes you can! Whatever works for you! 👍
i use the rock method
Can delet lego bulider to help jump in app on mobil phone ?
Spread the gospel ❤❤😊
where did you get the lego from?
Any local store that sells Lego 👍
Does the sticky tac damage your figures in any way?
no, sometimes it gets stuck in the holes though.
How do u slide spider-mans mask on
im a big fan btw since im the 15th comment can you pin me

I use clear bricks
You can also use invisible LEGO bricks but it looks a bit strange...
I agree 👍
@@nationofbricks dude do you know the name of the clear stick like stand for mini figs i want to make mine looks like there flying
I don’t like using computers.
Why!?
@@edudepopsmokeThis is a 2 year old comment lmao,

@@yohischannel i never remember typing this💀
and what is the app and can i find it on android
But what if someone like me don't have camera only phone?
The steps for jumping stay the same. What you are filming on doesn’t really matter for this. 👍
Me who has to use a string bc I'm broke
I feel that lol
step1: find the missing LEGO piece
ME make this lego film
stop motion studio pro is only 5 dollars and it has masking
It’s only 1 dollar isn’t it
