Loved this show & omg how my eyes have been opened to the multi cultural aspect in the bible. I've learned how selfish I have been & racist towards other cultures and didn't even realize it! Thank Pastor Lowe & each of you for changing my heart towards others.

This episode was informative and humorous to say the least🤣. As a Christian African American woman, I grew up in a home with seven siblings and both my parents were ministers. The church my family and I attended was predominantly African American. Four of my siblings went to predominantly African American schools in Philadelphia. Myself and three of my siblings went to diverse schools in South Jersey. My siblings and I had some interesting conversations😂. Like other strong Christian homes, my parents raised my siblings and I to love all people regardless of skin color. I had a bunch of friends who came in all shapes, colors, and sizes😂. However, one of my defining moments of understanding ethnicity and culture was when I lived in Puerto Rico for a summer doing youth ministry. One of my mother’s seminary teachers paid for myself and two of my siblings to travel across Puerto Rico sharing The Gospel. My siblings and I were having so much fun we almost forgot that we were Black🤣. This childhood trip really opened my eyes to other ethnicities. I became more aware of them and I wanted to learn more about my own African heritage. In undergrad, I minored in Africana Studies. I spent 3 years in a ridiculously diversified Christian graduate school program in Illinois. I have a strong appreciation for diverse ministries-the list goes on and on figuratively speaking. With this said, I have realized that my experiences with other ethnicities is somewhat unique for most African American youth. It is extremely difficult trying to become more aware of other ethnicities when poverty is a daily challenge. Furthermore, youth who are literally fighting for their lives while going to school. By no means am I making excuses for anyone’s lack of engagement or connections with other ethnicities, but it is important to consider the whole picture. My parents and grandparents generation were either fighting for a seat at the table or struggling to keep food on one. I know my parents had to climb over their experiences with racism and hatred to teach my siblings and I to love unconditionally. My mother often shares how she almost became a Black Panther-and I am not referring to Wakanda Forever🤣. Exploring, learning, and implementing diversity takes time. I never heard of a diversity coach, but it sounds effective-as long as one keeps historical facts and current conditions in mind-empathy is key.

I was really going through some things earlier (living life the past two years and this election had started to effect me) and the Lord gave me this video to watch you!
I really needed to hear this. Thank You!
My whole life I grew up in a mixed culture as a Black American. I went to school with Jewish kids, Black kids, Hispanic kids, Chaldean kids and Arab kids. We loved each other. I also lived around them and went to a mixed church. I’ve met some incredible people. God’s people.
And, to turn on the media and news now, it breaks my heart to see the division! I was sheltered on some things growing up, and heard the stories about my ancestors, but these past two years was something to experience in “my” lifetime. It All became real real.
In God’s word…..He mentioned to Love thy neighbor as thy self! Clearly God created all ethnicities and He said we were made in His image and likeness. Being that the Almighty God is the creator of All things……
I love All cultures, always have, because God created them.
I see people, humans, colors don’t matter to me. Some just were baked in the oven shorter or longer than others, and have various complexions which makes us so beautiful and a diverse people.
But, when I see whites hate blacks it hurts my soul. We could all hate a nationality but I choose love over hate. Because I Intentionally try not to hate others. I operate in Christ Jesus spirit. Not chaos and confusion.
So, I had to ask the Lord to help me adjust to this discrimination I’m seeing around the world…..because it is NOT the Spirit of God. As mentioned, this is. spiritual warfare thanks for the reminder!
……God loves color and created the 12 tribes of Israel. Look at it closely. So who am I to hate His creation. And, when I found out who I was in Christ it all begin to make sense. Period.

    • @hara3435
      @hara3435 2 года назад

'whites hate blacks' that is racist slur & a huge generalisation. why cant people love all hues & why is reverse racism
ok nowadays? I am 'white'I dont hate 'blacks' & you need to check your mispreconceptions sister.
I have aunties cousins & uncles
who are 'black' as you descrive them
& I love them deeply & we do not see
white & black like you we jusr see relations & love.
I find your lies & bigotry offensive.

    • @maribyrd9603
      @maribyrd9603 2 года назад

@@hara3435 if you aren’t prejudice than I’m not referring to you obviously. I’m referring to the ones who are. And, if you haven’t been keeping up with the last two years I don’t know what to tell you….I have Never been a racist to any culture as I stated I don’t see color I see people. So, you need to adjust your language! My point was can’t we all get along and welcome other cultures into our lives as the show discussed and I’ve experienced.

Thank you so much for this topic...I have 3 children who has been brought up in a very diverse surrounding....when my girls went to high school and later University they experience racism where they were told that they were contributing to racism because of them being coloured..black kids will talk down on them and. certain lectures made remarks towards them when they raised their opinion about certain issues or events or happenings in our country...my son on the other hand wasn't black or white enough to get promoted in the job that he was in...yet I will praise God even with all this happening to them they still don't see colour cause the God that we serve transform them from the inside out...yes it's so true the church should wake up and be heard because Jesus come for all...stop being afraid to be confronted by people who are confuse and living with all kinds of pain from the past which turn to hate and resentment....we must make a choice individually cause the choices that we make today will affect our generations to come....let us find our true examples in the word of God and follow God's guidance....be bless🙏🙏🙏 ( from Johannesburg South Africa)

This was especially rich!! People should not experience the same hostilities at church that they do in the secular larger society. Embracing is key. Churches could have international celebration days that illuminate the various cultures present through food, art and music. This could serve as an educational opportunity. It is also important in teaching culturally accurate Bible lessons which spans diverse nations. Jesus’s instructions was that we be witnesses for God to the world. And in this highly charged environment of poisonous rhetoric, the Church must counter such hatred. God is a God of justice which means we should be advocates for everyone being treated with dignity and respect. Thank You!!

He also adds, paraphrased, and “the world will know you sent me and You love them.” Pastor James’s words just stirred a thought in me, how about if we stop saying I attend or I was raised in a Black Church or I sing Black Gospel music. How about if we simply say, “I attend church and I was raised in the church.” And regarding music, “I sing songs about the Lord.” And no “Southern Gospel” singers or “Black Gospel” artist.

My prayer is for the teaching priest, those committed to teaching the whole Bible, to lead Christ followers in returning to God. We have to unite at the foot of the cross because Jesus died for the sins of all. God bless you for addressing this very serious matter.

    Praise YESHUA!
I was raise Baptist. When I became older I join Non Denomination! I also visited Catholics.
A few days ago, I was in HEB. I saw this very very thin white female. She had on extra clothes to hide her true weight!
As she passed me, I heard THE HOLY SPIRIT speak to me. HE told me to go ask her if she wanted to PRAY!
The first thoughts after I heard HIM was THE CULTURE I was raised in!
I had to STEP OUT of my CULTURE and OBEY HIM!
CULTURE is a very diverse word. I hear it alot now. I'm in my 60's.
When I was in elementary school CULTURE was taught us meant: Chinese, African, Russian, etc.
I thank GOD for JESUS because HE did speak to the Samaritan woman...even though HIS disciples told HIM HE shouldn't!
I'm in agreement with THE WORD!
This is how all men will know that you are my disciples...if you have LOVE for one another!
Thank you CeCe and you guest ! I love Ashley laugh! I always love to hear Debbie, she have Vision and Voice! Thanks Pastor Lowe for differently bringing THE WORD!
    Blessings to you all!
    Praise JESUS 🙏❤

"He who lives within JESUS CHRIST is greater than he who is in the world."No matter what you're facing, GOD is Bigger. Never lose sight of that. Have Faith."Whenever you don't understand what is happening in your life, just close your eyes, take a deep breath and say,"GOD,I know it's your plan, just help me through it."You're almost there. What GOD is giving you requires preparation, commitment, focus and patience.Hold on because the tide turning. Don't be surprised if your support doesn't come from familiar faces. GOD will place strangers in your life to take you to higher places!
