I just came across your channel and I wanted to let you know how impressive your videos are. I really enjoy your review format and explanation of the game flow. Most other channels just talk about how to play the game but your overview was great because you can see the main gameplay flow and concepts. You found a way to deliver complexity in a very simple way. Great work my friend.

Thank you, for watching my videos and kind words! :)
True, I typically skip the rules part in other channel's reviews, so, I guess, subconsciously I try to avoid such a formal rigid structure. I still explain the rules but mix it with my opinions, thoughts and, analysis. Never thought about it, but it looks like it is my format - thank you for pointing it out! :)

It works for me particularly well because I can get a quick idea of the gameplay without all the details. I appreciate that part of your videos.
One item of feedback I would give is that as a new viewer I am unfamiliar with your "gem" rating system. It might be good to go over that or additionally include a number rating with your gem so it's easier to know what that means.

      Happy it helps! :)
As for the "gem" rating system - I post it in each of the video's descriptions, but your question led me to revisit/refine it. Here is the latest iteration:
My Mineral / Color Wheel Rating System for Board Games:
      8.5 - 10.0 Rating (Excellent):
      - Green Gem: Casual
      - Cyan Gem: Advanced Casual
      - Blue Gem: Geeky
      7.0 - 8.4 Rating (Good/Great):
      - Yellow Crystal: Casual
      - Magenta Crystal: Geeky
      0.0 - 6.9 Rating (Skip):
      - Red Rock

@@BoardGameDetectives not really. The most experts have criticized it. It has not worked with friends... but my wife and I love it, I know it is not the most recommended to play with two but we are crazy about the game

If you two love it, you can still enjoy it! I am sure you will have good times! :)

Hey! Loved this video! Just wanted to state that I'm more than 60 games deep and I'm still getting to know new interactions soooo It's a game that REALLY changes with more plays. However I'd say that after 5-6 games you'll feel comfortable enough to know all basic interactions. After that it becomes a game of getting to know all the strange interactions hehehe

Thank you, for watching the video, kind words, and great insight!
60 games is very impressive and makes me jealous of the good times your gaming group must be having! :)
      Any tips for new players?

@BoardGameDetectives The best tip I always give is passing or playing only one card as a Hunter is a very valid option. Generally the Beast has more cards than Hunters, and thus, if everyone "maximizes" their plays and alwas plays a red and a blue card, hunters will end their day with the Beast being able to do what it wants. However if they only play one card, or pass when they see fit, allowing them to gather more info and spreading the player's plays, they make much more of a balanced game. As for the Beast, playing a NO MOVEMENT card is also a very good play, as it really can confuse hunters and give them a hard time. Hope this helps!

      Great tip, thank you!
This is exactly what happened in one of my games - hunters ran out of cards and I, playing Beast, could keep going on. I had no attack left, but I set up myself in such a way that after the nightly bonuses I was able to finish my winning condition with my first turn the following morning.

Beast is not a ''Heavier'' game.Heavier than what?

Heavier than lighter games, lol :) Beast is not "heavy" per se but the time investment required to learn it adds more weight.
