It was Graham, one of those perfect winter Sundays. To be honest the views were limited but a good wee leg stretch all the same! Thanks for watching! Cheers paul
Nice one Paul.Never seen much when i done these ones.Done them in winter and was caught out in my one and only proper whiteout just before the ascent of the 2nd one.I had snowshoes with me thankfully that made it a bit easier for getting back down safe and sound.😀👍
Cheers Andy..was thinking about leaving them until the snow came but gave in when the weather looked favourable. Still got two drummochter munros to do so might try a wee winter walk on them? I have asked Santa for snow shoes this year! Have you used yours much?
@@PAADVENTURES1 Done all 7 of the Drumochter ones in my 2nd year out in winter walking.Bought the snowshoes after doing the 2 at Balsporran cottages as some of the snowdrifts where up to my waist and was wading through above the knee snow for most of the day.Very energy sapping.Probably only used them about 5-6 times but they do make a difference in deep powder snow.
Nice wee outing Paul, their not all immense the Munro’s, but good tae get oot and stretch the legs and see some lovely scenery. I’ve still to do these 2 hopefully a bit of snow when I do them. ATB Frank.
Thanks Frank.....I think you are right! These will be good hills to do in the snow. Still to do another two up here and will probably wait till the snow comes. Cheers again Frank. Paul
Bit of a flat top on that first Munro isn't it? Second one as well. Looked like a fantastic day out though, and not too much wind. Loved the sun shot near the end, and I was completely fooled on the out bit, thought that was a photo, then you guys started moving! Pretty sweet wee walk Paul!
Cheers JR. Yeah these are not very dramatic munros. There are 7 munros in this area and they are all pretty flat grassy lumps...good wee walks for lazy winter sundays. That shot at the end....we were basking in the late afternoon sun...felt amazing after being in the shade... fancy seeing some unpublished videos? I can send you some links to your email? Cheers Paul
Thanks Seth! It is indeed! One of those lazy Sunday afternoon mountains. In Scotland we have quite a contrast to the more westerly mountains than their counterparts in the east. The west is more rugged and dramatic and a lot. But not all of the eastern side are more rolling and flat! Check out my aonoch eagach video or my for forcan ridge video for a comparison! Cheers mate. Paul
Good stuff paul. These two Munros get a hard time for being dull but uou cracked the weather on them to give you a very nice day out. The only thing I recall about doing them is the train driver making a special stop to let us out at the most convenient starting point. Don’t think that would happen now. Atb gordon
Thanks Gordon. Not the most exciting but still a good day out and Abi enjoyed bagging another two munros that you cant fall off! 😁🏔. That's a brilliant wee story! Driver...stop here please! Lol. Just seen you have a new film. Head over and have a watch. Cheers paul
Did these two earlier on this year when I thought I had a whole summer and autumn of walking ahead of me. Sadly that's not been the case☹️! Another fine video though, but tbh, your greatest achievement here was making a 7 minute video out of these two😂😂! They are not the most exciting and feature laden of hills🙂! Still make for a pleasant walk though and another two ticked off. What a year you're having.
I know John! I was thinking of you when I picked these two hills. I remembered you saying you had found these straightforward. They are not very exciting but I have made a promise to myself to try and capture every Munro for posterity 😁😁. A good wee walk all the same and as you say another 2 in the bag taking me to 113. 53 for the year so far....another 2 will do me this year. Just back from the kingshouse! Will pen you a wee email tomorrow 😏 Cheers mate Paul
Hi Paul, Abi and Paddy, looked a lovely day for a wee walk, blues skies, sunshine and no rain. What happened to the Lost Valley or will that be next week's video?
Hi Andy. A change in the weather and we are out I the cairngorms national park. A simple wee Munro bagging but still good fun. We are just back from glencoe and whilst we attempted the lost valley we never made it! The burn was in spate and we couldn't find a safe crossing so had to turn back right near the end 😬. We ended up just exploring the glen and some waterfalls. Took some footage but I'm not sure if its enough to make a wee film....will see. Had a great time at the kingshouse and spent sometime at the clachaig watching a live pipes and whistles DUET! amazing! Paul
@@PAADVENTURES1 Hi Paul, I made it to Scotland. Drove up.Monday to Falkirk to the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel. Went to the Wallace Monument, did Dumyat and finished with Sterling Castle. @@andythemunroeater9884 Morning Andy! Brilliant! you've managed to get up here and I have been sent to Heysham by my work! no hills down here to walk! Looks stunning... Seriously your a lucky man... Stunning locations...love cold crisp sunny winter days.... Were you wearing a paramo beanie at the end?
It was one of those days! I would take that kind of day all year, just perfect. Yeah, abi and I have that beanie. Great hat that's in my bag all year round. Cheers again. Paul
