I recently switched to a Moleskine Weekly planner in the pocket size. I really like it as it is easy to stuff in my purse on the go. I do like your comparison of the two. May look at Leuchtturm for 2023.
Thank you ! I really want to try it! It’s almost like you can make the end of week note page into a weekly layout for the following week 🫣 I want to house this in a TN but it could be too tall. Could always customize….
It’s cute! I’m doing something new for 2023 as well, at least for my work planner: out of rings, into a travelers notebook (a deep brown leather I ordered) I go! Would love to see flips of the Leuchtturm when you start using it in ‘23. Enjoy your channel as always.
I've been using the Leuchtturm1917 planner for years and I prefer the one where it's an overview for the week on the left side of the double spread and a whole page for notes on the right side. It just fits my life really well and like you I really love the font and that the text is so faint. A while ago I've managed to get a daily Moleskine planner on sale and wanted to use it as a journal, but since I love to use fountain pen I was SO frustrated all the time because almost every ink I've tried bled through the paper. I endet up using it only one sided and being glad that I got it relatively cheap. The paper is just awful and I feel like it's a very bad quality for the price they charge. The Moleskine sketchbooks on the other side have an amazing paper quality!
The Leuchtturm wins hands down with paper quality over the Molieskine. If you like using a juicy pen like a Uniball EYe or a fountain pen the ghosting in the Moleskine will annoy you. Our local pen shop stopped stocking Moleskine because of the poorer paper quality.
@@markcaldwell2831 i have no precious needs. All I want to good quality paper which sadly the Moleskine does not have. That’s why I no longer buy their notebooks. You do you.
@@monicaj2677crazy I have Leuchtturm1917 a6 dotted and a regular lined and tbh I love writing down on my moleskin more, I also had no issues with the paper probably ‘coz my favorite pen is the Energel Clena ( an EF 0.2 fountain pen works well on it too ). Really tried loving the lined leuchtturm (i love lined paper) but I really don’t like the paper but the dotted paper is really nice thicker and I’m enjoying it (using it for my everyday things to do) but will stick to Moleskine for my Daily Journal.
@@ANIAMCMXCII like the cloth-like feel of the Moleskine paper, but also enjoy gel pens and fountain pens, so I may always buy Moleskine pocket notebooks for certain things where it’s about the content, not the pens and ink 😊
Love the 2 years of future planning. Also love the project planner pages. I think I would use the notes page between the weeks as a weekly overview of appointments, meal plan and weekly tasks. 🤔. Thanks for sharing this. I liked the comparison as well. 🙂
I like that extra page for the week! That would be a great place to write tasks you have for the week without tipping in a different page. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent review Michelle! Very timely for me in that I am rethinking my approach to planners and work journals. I really like both of these planners and you've given food for thought. Hope you are doing well Michelle.
Ordered a custom pocket apple pig wallet for the moleskine 2023. Now wishing I’d had made it taller to fit this booklet in. I like the font, paper, and lighter grid better. Thanks for your thorough review Michelle.
What a great in-depth video and comparison! I have yet to try a pocket book bound. I had a TN passport weekly but it was too small for my liking. I might just give this a try to experiment as I do need something to work with fountain pens. My go to is hobonichi weeks. Thanks for sharing!
I use Leuchtturm pocket weekly and it is great. I MO the quality of the paper is worse than Rhodia but better than Moleskine. Thank you for this review, awesome as always😍
Thank you very much for making this video! For next year I was trying to decide whether to buy again and Moleskine daily planner or this one, and this will prove helpful. If I can give you a small piece of advice, next time you record a video like this do it against a darker background. Sometimes the layout of the pages cannot be clearly seen on the video and that’s because your camera is focusing on the white background instead that doing it on the primary object, in this case the notebook😅

I had this exact planner for 2022 it ended up not working out. If they would do soft cover and make the line spacing the same as the moleskine daily I would use it and not look back! I love everything else about it! The note section after every Sunday would be perfect for Bible note journaling. I just write a little larger than the lines allow for. But it’s fantastic if you can write smaller. I couldn’t seem to find a cover for it though let us know if you find a cover.

I have never understood why anyone would begin the week on Sunday. The weekend is the week end? Monday you start the week afresh - it is the first day back at work.
