I cannot understand how the Church blessed this occasion. It appears anything for anyone who is of so called status is possible. Quite shameful when you think about it..

michael morley The Church of England allows services of blessing for any divorced couple. All that was different here was the scale and setting.

Not the wedding but a blessing after a highly questionable legal marriage in a civil ceremony which is clearly stated in the uk marriage act the law defining what constitutes a legal marriage in this country that such a civil marriage will have no legal implication for a member of the Royal family. In actual fact her majesty the queen did not even attend the civil ceremony and she being so sound on all forms of etiquette wore off white to the blessing in defiance to the custom that only the bride wears white look at them here he is so uncomfortable. This is not a wedding ceremony but a blessing after the effect the boys were present but definitely out of sight I wonder that they attended from choice or duty I guess they answered that question in the tv interviews even though they never mentioned it they and the queen left in a considerable hurry thank the lord she was there to protect them. She never even made a public appearance with them but left them to face public on THIER own

Pamela Meadows The Church of England marriage service /blessing of a civil marriage always presents the fact that one, or both, people who are being married has had an irretrievable failed marriage before.

Pamela Meadows, this is not a wedding service. This is a regular daily service of worship. Part of the daily service is ALWAYS a prayer which is called "The General Confession". In that prayer EVERY PERSON PRESENT acknowledges their sinful nature, and all the sins that they have committed, in thought, word and deed. There are also those sins committed by default, or by failure to do what is right.
Thousands of faithful Anglicans make this confession every day of the week. Many many more use this at the weekly Sunday service.

+MandyJMaddison Thank you for enlightening me. I did not know this. So now I understand how they kept a straight face.
