I love the khaki-green espadrilles with the matching dress. Espadrilles, at least the classic, mostly-covered heel type, are great for wide-leg trousers because they don’t catch the pants hems between the foot and shoe, like other sandals do. I didn’t find Soludos very comfortable (suede is always more foot-conforming than canvas), and I prefer a lower, 2-2.5” wedge. All of Castaner’s have a 3” wedge, which is too high for me. I found that Talbots makes a lot of cute shoes in this heel-height range and I just bought three pairs!

My lashes used to be fine and straight. But I got my dermatologist to prescribe Latisse for me. Using GoodRX, I can get it for about $50. What a difference! I now use Milani Tubing Mascara ($13). My lashes reach my eyebrows!

I’ve been loving Banana Republic, too. They use high-quality, breathable fabrics, which is super-important to me: natural fibers or high-quality, thick rayon, which I love. The styles are timeless, classic but modern, too, and the garment construction is very good. They make the best timeless cargo pants in a soft rayon fabric that I love, but unfortunately, with my straight shape/thicker waist, I couldn’t get a good fit in them. The only thing this brand needs to be perfect is to add hidden elastic to the backs of their waistbands, so a bigger variety of figure shapes can wear them, not every woman has a waist 12 inches smaller than her hips. BR has become my go-to for blazers especially because they don’t have polyester linings, which I just can’t wear (I think some of their older styles might have poly-blend linings, I just skip over those).
