Honestly this is really big for the community. A more refined launchpad specific plugin made by a member of the community that is not only much more advanced than what we currently use, but is also compatible with all versions of ableton and is free. Nicely done mat, can’t wait to try it when I’m back home
I can't open a ready approj file. I have error "You may not have sufficient privileges to read from the destination folder, or the file you're attempting to read is invalid"

Because you need the driver. It's automatically installed if you get the installer. With the driver you get less lag and you can use your LP with multiple apps at once which means Ableton can run audio at the same time.

I've seen people use Apollo with dual core systems. I'm using a Mac and have 2 cores 4 threads and it turbos to 3.5 and when I try to do a simple rainbow light effect using 2 rows of buttons it lags pretty hard. I have 12 gb ram and I shows I have 7gb free when using Apollo. any idea why its doing that? (I also tried disconnecting everything except the launchpad and power cable and it still does it)
Apollo is separate and doesn't require Ableton at all. however since it is lights only, you can run any version or edition of Ableton you want and they will work together to provide samples+lights

Is there a way to export to midi to import it into ableton, or to have ableton "catch" the output midi signals so everything can be timed and synced ?

Looks great! Does this work with class-compliant Launchpad Mini or does it require novation drivers to recognize the launchpad?
It requires the USB driver, but it also doesn't support Mini due to lack of RGB.

make sure you're still using User mode for Ableton

my launchpad if a put a rainbow with fade and make a line with copy it makes a blue trail and I have to clear the launchpad

@@mat1jaczyyy in a group chain 1 has a fade and a copy and a keyfilter and set on interpolate and same on chain 2 just the offset is different.
