@orangetaho4u207 I got only one of them in 3 days. Still doesn't change the fact that we have to wait 2 real life weeks to make any progress on a mobile game.
@PaleGhost69 I'm level 99 with a population of 145. 🤷🏻 Marry your people, make them bang, send them on quests to earn the speed up thingies. There's 1 year and instant "baby to adult" potions as well. I've pretty much got 1 of each material coming from my noble equipment now so even if every building production was 0 I'd still create materials.

They removed a lot of cool Fallout Shelter features. Even children appear right away from the bedroom. The woman is not even pregnant. I put 2 men into the bedroom accidentally and got a child. HOW??????? FROM WHERE?????
Gave it a week. Progression slowed down tremendously after day 2. Resource crafting is tedious and if you want to craft clothes and tools so your castle can be more efficient, you won't be making clothes and tools to complete your dailies. Meaning you're short on gold unless you're making the more selfish decisions as king/queen. You can craft limestone to upgrade your crafting tables, but now you aren't making wood to build more rooms. You can only craft 1 mill, Smith etc at the start so you can only make 1 type of material or craft 1 item at a time. And if you're crafting steel you aren't crafting iron. Which is also an ingredient for steel tools. Of course you can pay money for extra crafting benches (6 of them for 10$ each basically.) Adventuring is extremely basic and the "challenges" often conflict with each other so you have to complete the same mission multiple times, likely wasting potions, because your adventuring gear isn't leveled up because you're focusing on upgrading your tools or clothes, or crafting stuff for your dailies. It's just a series of inconvenient timers to sell you microtransactions so you can waste less time in a game made to waste your time. The castle building is a neat idea, but you don't need anymore than 4 or 5 rooms and you have housed everything. Your ruler doesn't seem to matter much and MANY repeat events will show up when you click on the throne. They also have a "commoner/noble" system that foesnt yield into the gsme except for their respective faction. Nobles are eligible for the crown if your ruler dies and commoners can become nobles if they marry a noble. The gsme just has a million things going on that it makes the progression slow and confused.
Thanks for sharing the details of how everything grinds to a halt. It just felt like I was playing a game that didn’t want me to actually play it! Ha ha.
I've been playing for about a week. by playing, i open it before bed, click around for five minutes than close it. One thing that bothers me with it is the mating system. With FO Shelter, i could mix different dwellers but it seems with Castles, i had my queen hook up for an heir. then i got a legendary, so had her hook up with him. The first mate got pissed. While comical, it could lead to my ruler dying. So i am refraining from it in the future. I do hope the art style gets better though.

That’s what I hoped this game would be. However, your experience seems to be of the minority when the vast majority of comments on this video agree with me. I think you’re the second person of around 2000 that have said they enjoy the game. You’re entitled to your opinion though! Different games for different people! It’s not that this game is necessarily “grindy”… it’s that this game takes FOREVER to do anything due to timers and IAP’s are provided to quicken or get passed them. Time is more precious than ever and I would much rather spend it playing a game that actually wants me to play it! Ha ha. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
What is it people are trying to do quicker? I've felt pretty entertained by the game for a week. I wanna breed my legendary nobles for more, I wanna grind the dungeon for magic gears, I've got my structures all full of workers with good gear so timers are lowered. 🤷🏻What fun is a game if you're just endgame day one?
I couldn't stand more than 30 minutes of playing tes castles, but here are my thougths. The worst issue is that castles doesn't have tes vibes, it doesn't feel like Tambriel, they lost that unique atmosphere. Artstyle looks like assasins creed rebellion another mobile abomination based on beloved game franchise by the way (I know, it actually looks more like animal crossing or something, but for some reason I liked that comparison). Even music sounds like generic fantasy, gosh, why not use music from Oblivion or even ESO. This "game" unironically made me give tes blades another chance. And at least tes blades FEELS like an elder scrolls game
I've got a full days worth of gameplay and am only now starting to feel the grind. It's entertaining to me managing the kingdom and establishing lineages. I simply look at it as a game set in the elder scrolls lore rather than tryna compare it to anything that came before it however for someone who doesn't have enough time on their hands, it can be an awful experience for sure,I get where you may be coming from on that part
Yeah idk man, I'm liking it more than fallout shelter. You kept saying it was aggressive with spending money but I haven't spent a dime on the game and I'm near level 50. It's not that grindy either, I'm not spamming the same action to squeeze out small amounts of resources. Everything I'm doing works towards progress while I also have to manage my citizens and their relationships with each other and my ruler.
I really like the game. Idk why but probably because its fantasy settings and the ruling mechanic that got me hooked up. But that doesn't mean it has its flaws, i'll list the things. •Combat is lack luster. Would be better if they did 4-5 adventurers instead of typical 3 and add unique combats like the ones in darkest dungeons or other combat style scenarios then maybe it would be unique. •Reuse and lacking unique npcs and clothes. Half of the npc look the same, can't even have unique hairs or facial features(maybe next update if there will). Same with clothing(Not counting the skins since you need to buy those). its all just recolored, not to mention the "Legendaries" aren't even unique looking •Very buggy(typical Bethesda) •Its online even tho its not multiplayer(which ik why its online) •Lacks some content(well it is new) There's alot more ik but this are the ones ill be putting for now.
I had joffyr rule the castle later on he gets muredered by a dark elf so then I put ulfric stormcloak as next ruler then 5min later I had to make a choice with the previous dark elf then when I chose the wrong choice she doesnt like it and ends up stabbing my ulfric in the back, Where are the punishment upon the subjects for their betrayals, there no resurrections either, just lost a iconic legendary character for making a choice, im already disliking the game for how limited it is to be a ruler and how easy it is to lose one.
I personally like how it looks. I wonder if it's good with cheats. Pocket Shrek was an alright game since all of the paid content was free in the latest patch of the game. There is not much to do after 5 hours of playing it but was interesting to click around.

Been giving it a fair shot. Year 6 lvl 32. Fallout Shelter is much more enjoyable and stylish to look at. Quests are boring as hell and i havent seen any shiny loot like in fallout shelter to interact with. I cant believe anyone would buy a legendary character that will eventually die, its worse than pulling characters in a gatcha game.
A lot of stuff jumps in your face everytime. Try to move a tiny object and missclick? Here's a smithy page. Try to click on a character? Here's the store. Try to move something from one room to another? Oops he fell somewhere and you have to look for him. Trying to dodge an attack? Sorry bud, by the time you manage to select the character and move him the attack is already done. A lot of the frustrations are for me the awful interface accompanied by shitty hitboxes, unnecessary tedious fighting and the lack of actual ELDER SCROLLS in an ELDER SCROLLS game. Like come on, just because you name things something from the TES universe doesn't make it feel and look like it's a TES thing. This game absolutely sucks. It’s fun for a couple days, kinda hitting the same itch FS did, but then you quickly realize just how lacking it is. It’s not fun, repetitive, etc. all around huge disappointment. And you are right, the art style is awful (namely the character faces).
I pre registered for it and was pretty excited to see how they'd adapt it. Turns out it's just kinda boring. Nothing I'd call inherently wrong, just that elder scrolls has proven again it''s not the franchise for short play no story gameplay.

I am sorry to say that I do not agree: I like Elder Scrolls castle better, I enjoy playing it and did not spend any (real) gold. You can create a nice kingdom just watching a few ads from time to time and with some patience.
I don't understand how people expect to play a game without the forced pay walls if they want to speed things up... it's a mobile game.. what do people expect?
You can have baby with 2 person of the same sexe.. and no, this decision clearly has nothing to do with the gameplay or because its a fantastic univers... so its a big no for me.
I played for about 5 mins and then I uninstalled it. Didn't like the UI, the "gameplay" with the card moving, the art style is rough, seen better graphics on Snake.
This is kinda different from my usual content too so I hope you enjoy the plethora of other videos I have here on the channel! Thanks for watching and commenting! The game is most definitely ass. Ha ha.
If you like mind numbing repetition and a game that constantly asks you for money, this might just be for you. I'm F2P and it's fine, I certainly would not recommend spending any money on this.
Seen an ad just now for this & only wanted to see comments because imagine knowing paying fans are waiting 13+ years for next game, then release this 💀💀 Todd really said he was tired of people asking him about ES6, yet he still pushes out DLC for eso then this intern level product.
Todd isn't working on addons for ESO, like majourity of Bethesda team, it's Zenimax. And tes castles probably was made by some random outsource studio. And TES6 takes so long because all these years after Skyrim's release they were working on Fallout 4, Starfield and then Covid-19 thing blew up company's work, deadlines and release plans. And here are :(
I have played for two weeks now. I am one of the biggest Elder Scrolls fans you will ever meet. This. Game. Is. Trash. In order to keep your productivity up, you have to log in every few minutes and click a few buttons to collect resources such as wood, iron, and burlap. You use these resources to craft tools, weapons, armor, and outfits, which, you guessed it, you gotta come back every few minutes to collect. You're basically stuck in this loop of having to log in 1000x a day to progress, but 30 seconds after logging, there is nothing to do. That is just awful gameplay. Log in, collect resources and equipment, assign new equipment to be crafted, make 1-2 rulings, aaaaand close app. There is also a questing system. It is grossly uninspired. Has all the problems that most mobile game dungeon crawlers have: you basically just sit there and watch them fight. Every 10-15 seconds, their ability will recharge, so you can click a button to make them do another special move (FUN GAMEPLAY!). The truth is not even hidden with this game. It is a BLATANT cash grab. You can unlock subjects with familiar names from previous Elder Scrolls Games, like Tiber Septim, Ulfric Stormcloak, Faendal, Isron, and Lydia. Most of these subjects are locked behind an insufferable paywall called the Emperor's Pass. I read that this was initially supposed to be $5/month. Pretty reasonable, but Todd wanted another mansion, so now they're charging $14!!! And they have hundreds of dollars worth of offers in the store. Faendal is currently in the store for $8. Oh, did I mention that all of your subjects WILL die of old age, even the legendary ones? Every real-life day is a year in Castles, and all subjects will die when they get old. What a brilliant idea from Bethesda. Forces you to keep spending money to *rent* more cool people. There isn't any wokeness in this game on the surface, but they decided to make gender non-existent. You can put two men in the bedroom, and somehow a baby is created. I have a kid who is the son of Ulfric Stormcloak (got him for free) and another man. And now they are classified as "lovers". It is so sad, because there is no reason they can't make a lot of money *and* the game actually be fun. Fallout Shelter made lots of money, had a great artstyle/atmosphere, was free-to-play and still fun, and you got to keep your legendary dwellers. Castles is Bethesda spitting in out faces. I hope nobody spends a dime on this disgusting "game".
I literally had the battle myself to see the good in this game and after 20 minutes I was like no I can't do this LOL but if anyone needs a good mobile game in my opinion tails of illyria sorry tales not tails try it out it's a gem in my opinion

I am sorry to say that I do not agree: I like Elder Scrolls castle better, I enjoy playing it and did not spend any (real) gold. You can create a nice kingdom just watching a few ads from time to time and with some patience.
It was another cash grab from Bethesda.
I don't understand how people expect to play a game without the forced pay walls if they want to speed things up... it's a mobile game.. what do people expect?
Its not forced i have 20 potions of speed and 7 elixirs of growth, as well as 3 arcane hourglasses and i havent spent a cent
I got it and something happened and all my progress got deleted so I uninstalled it
Would you like a micro transaction with that?
This literally just fallout shelter
I prefer it over FVS, castles is fun
i can't even play elder scrolls castles for some reason.
@@Frostingale consider yourself lucky
You can have baby with 2 person of the same sexe.. and no, this decision clearly has nothing to do with the gameplay or because its a fantastic univers... so its a big no for me.
I played for about 5 mins and then I uninstalled it. Didn't like the UI, the "gameplay" with the card moving, the art style is rough, seen better graphics on Snake.
I don’t mind older looking games or art styles but this art style is kinda jarring! Ha ha.
Subbed! Amazing video, thanks for saving me the trouble of having to try it out 💀
Thanks for the support and anytime! Ha ha.
It sucks indeed.
The algorithm got me here and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a well-produced video. Thanks for making it!
This game looks like ass.
This is kinda different from my usual content too so I hope you enjoy the plethora of other videos I have here on the channel! Thanks for watching and commenting! The game is most definitely ass. Ha ha.
Like its okay, but it rubs me the wrong way when you level up, but the item you get needs to be bought. Wth.
Exactly! Ha ha.
I like both games, but yeah... Fallout shelter is superior
I gaslit myself into liking it lmao.
@@RooRoove I respect it. I’ve done that with other games ha ha
They look like miis
It does not suck
I just liked it it's fun
Nah
@@HotSoppressata nah, what? lol. Contribute something of value buddy!
@@MintCity you’re a seriously cringe individual
If you like mind numbing repetition and a game that constantly asks you for money, this might just be for you.
I'm F2P and it's fine, I certainly would not recommend spending any money on this.
Seen an ad just now for this & only wanted to see comments because imagine knowing paying fans are waiting 13+ years for next game, then release this 💀💀
Todd really said he was tired of people asking him about ES6, yet he still pushes out DLC for eso then this intern level product.
