At 9:32 What is the difference in clause 3 and 5 of citizenship by registration? In both case person is of Indian origin but in clause 3 he has to resident for 7 years and in clause 5 he has to resident for 12 months??
In clause 5 he or either parents of his has to be citizen after 1947 ..but in clause 3 no need to be citizen after 1947 , just PIO will be sufficient.. E.g. Grandaprent/great grandparent were born in India but went to US so their granchild has never been citizen of India nor his parents have been so clause 3 will apply and he needs to reside in india for 7 years
