thank you so much just what i needed i have a 97 vert and i got it with a broken radio so when i put a new kenwood headunit in you can imagine my fear of discovering my rear speakers are blown and i wasnt told of it so that sucks but this vid helps alot any ways now i have an excuse to put really loud speakers in this thing with the sub lol
Sorry to deliver some bad news. Bavsound discontinued the full E36 convertible upgrade kit in 2020 because we could no longer provide the rear speaker upgrades. Due to popular demand, we recently re-released a partial (front speaker only) kit for the E36 convertibles. Unfortunately, we no longer have the rear upgrade speakers for the E36 convertibles because the minimum production quantity needed does not justify the cost of production. While they are the same size, they are indeed a different specification/impedance speaker from the front 5.25" midbass speakers. We are not aware of any brands with plug and play upgrade options available to match the impedance to replace those particular speakers.
Thank you very much for this perfect video. I have just removed my rear speakers from my cabrio. But I didn't have any idea how I could remove it without any destroy the plastic cover. So, I will try like you. But first I have to buy a new speaker :) Thanks a lot
Hi! It depends. Send our sales team a message at sales@bavsound.com and send us your VIN number and we will take a look if our speakers are the right fit for your 95 convertible.
I have a 1999 e36 convertible, but my rear speakers are different to that. Mine don't have the tweeter in, and the speaker looks like it should twist out. Any suggestions as to the easiest way to get them out, or would I be better taking the whole thing out and just screwing the speaker to the metal surround?
I know it’s going to sound dumb of a question, but when I do have the tools and connectors to work with, is it possible to convert the speakers in my ‘94 convertible from the 10 old nokia speakers with the ten BavSound speakers? Thanks.
Thank you for your interest in our Bavsound products. This will all depend on the audio system in your vehicle. In order for us to help you more accurately, please email sales@bavsound.com with the car's 17 digit VIN number. Once received, we will be happy to provide you with the best audio options for your vehicle.
Thanks for the help it works

@@bavsound unfortunate but very understandable.
would plugging 4 ohm (like the front ones) 3 way speakers and unplugging the tweeter work? @@Ryan-op9bk

Could you instal coaxial speakers instead or would that involve more work?
Can't find this on your site, July 2020.

I have the same issue, did you resolve the issue buddy ?
Do you guys still sell this full kit, and does it work with the Harmon Kardon amp?
Yep, and it works best with the Harman Kardan amp 👍🏼
