I put a new power steering pump in I did the procedure of bleeding it then I noticed the hydro booster was acting funny but the reservoir kept getting air I’ll check under the dash if air maybe getting into it. I checked all the lines I cleaned everything up see if air was getting sucked in somewhere thanks for the video

This looks like the exact same hydro boost used on my 1978 Olds Cutlas diesel. Back in 1989 bought a new one for $125. Power steering pump took a crap and took out both power steering box an hydro boost for the brakes. Is there any type of output filter that can be placed on the out port of the pump? Experience has taught me to replace the master cylinder at the same time. I do recall that the hydro boost can be sent in for a rebuild. An ounce of prevention can save a pound of cure…….The rule is called Murphys Law, what can go wrong will go wrong.

It might be the same part. Would have been nice to save some money on the replacement. A filter? I am sure it is possible as they make them for auto transmissions for the same reason.

I replaced my pump as well early on for leaking. Coming and going can be air or a slipping belt. Or could be a failure of the booster. Does it make any odd noise? Or just go stiff pedal? Stiff hard to push pedal is when the unit stops boosting. The accumulator on the side has a short burst of reserve pressure when the engine is off.

May I ask why you need to change the hydraulic booster hmmwv ? My hmmwv m1123 the break is very stiff and not even trigger the break light ! Is that you have the same problem like my ?

It was leaking. It dripped into the floor and was making an odor when when the fluid was hot and leaking. It otherwise stopped perfectly fine.
