Nice, but the reality is there will be a lot more than £3,000 off the list price in a couple of months. Still too expensive for what it is and expect them to be selling for £25k very shortly and top specs under £30k Stellantis list prices are complete fantasy.

Thanks for this!👍 really like this car in black color-more then others stellantis. Nice interior and instrument cluster- But you should test the cheaper model"Red" instead-better comfort with smaller wheels and more stylish interior in black and red👍💯
That cover on the centre console is a deal breaker, I think it would be better just left open. I'm also not sold on the headlights either. £33k-£37k 😮 Citroen EC3 and Renault 5 feel like a more interesting choice for both design and price.
One problem across all Stellantis products. They just cost too much for what is a fossil car with batteries shoved in. They absolutely need to start to produce more ev only platforms as the tidal wave of new technology cars is really growing bigger and bigger. 2024 and 2025 are the breakout years for EVs and Stellantis are starting to fall behind everyone else Nice but.....
It really depends on the market, because this particular car is priced lower than anything from the VW group, Hyundai or Tesla, and I don't just mean by a few coins, but by more than 10%. Our price for the base spec including tax and fees is under £27k at the current exchange rate.
@@Dqtube but it has to be cheaper because is not really an EV. It's a fossil car with batteries forced in and it feels that way. It's a much more competitive market now for this class of car and Stellantis have yet to create a competitive EV platform at a time that the other OEMs are mostly on to version 2 or even 3 EV. They are seriously falling behind now. 2-3 years ago they could get away with it, but the world is moving on at pace.
Certainly in the UK, Stellantis products *never* sell at their list price. I've just put in an order for a E-C4 that I should collect next week which is a whopping £10k under list price, a much more reasonable £24.5k. Similar prices to the ICE equivalent. Given Stellantis has spent a lot of the RnD money they really should be simply lowering list prices rather than discounting majorly.
@@patrickjr11 It's nice in theory, but normal people don't care if the platform is pure electric or shared with an ICE vehicle, as long as they're switching from an ICE or hybrid. For the same money they can buy this car + PV panels + level 2 charger or they can go your way and just buy an pure EV car and ????
Nope, over priced compared with BYD and prices in China, do these manufacturers think we are stupid ? We know how to use the internet and see prices in other countries for similar or exactly the same products. The car is nice, its a sub £15k EV, extended range maybe under £20k and it will be a runner in the UK and why have they put the Italian flag colours on the car when its made in Poland ?
A great review Nicki. The prices though, well... err well. It's all marketing speak isn't it. Fiat saying these are the prices but we'll give you a pile of money deposit if you get one. Who will buy one at retail? Anyway It's a nice car but I'm unsure if it'll be on my test drive list. The 500 in my book has a much more character but folding the kids in half to fit them in the back in tantrum mode could sway many views I think.
For comparison, Fiat 500e is group 17 and very cheap to insure, but the 600e is in group 25/26 according to Diesel and Eco Car magazine. This is about average for this size of EV.
Thanks for the review. We loved the 500e, and that it came with a Cabrio version. (didnt like the price thou) What we dont get, is why people need 4 door saloons, for the rare occasion that the "friends" don't have a car, and claim yours to be transported. We are a household of 2, and never ever need more than a 2-door car. When the kids with grandkids ask us to take the grandkids, we also switch cars. So nobody is needlessly riding around all year with a car that is to expansive, to big, to heavy, and uses to much energy for every km. We really don't get that "urge" for a behemoth SUV like all the neighbors in the street. Wasn't an EV all about "better for the environment"? So why bigger, heavier, more material and more expansive . . . . for that 1 time a year to transport friends? Cant they take the bus?
Both my wife and me drive a 4 door saloon. I don't understand why you would buy a 2 door as you mention. Those are sport cars like a 911, bmw m2, Toyota Supra, Alpine, etc... Talking about waste of energy, yeah sure.... What 2 door are your driving?
That's psychology for you. What if I needed it one day and didn't have it? It's irrational (rational is to buy to fit your regular usage). When Audi released a Sportback with two seats in the back, so many people claimed they wouldn't buy it because it didn't have a three-seat bench. How often do you carry five people? And the middle seat is typically pretty useless, it's more like a punishment seat. So, they keep driving around alone, but they need five seats and four doors. Just in case. Personally, I'm a sucker for two-/ three-door cars. From sports cars to off-roaders. I just love the compactness, the proportions. Yes, it's less practical. But it rarely matters. As in less than 1 % of the time. Really, the most pertinent practical issue is that the front door is typically longer. Which makes getting in easier when you have the space. And more difficult when someone is parked next to you. Even my grandmother would easily get in the back of a three-door. Yes, if you have children, then nothing beats a van with sliding doors when it comes to getting kids in and out. Similarly, I like compact vans. Not the small vans (they tend to have weird styling), but short versions of mid-size vans like the Multivan. So much practicality in so little space (about the length of a compact estate*). Again, I'm a minority. People go for the longer versions. *Multivan is longer, more like a mid-size estate, but I really liked the short version (no longer manufactured AFAIK, replaced with a smaller model) of its competitor from Toyota/ Peugeot/ Citroen. It was something like 4.7 meters.
Its looks are a bit too awkward to fully invoke the "500e but a tad bigger" charm, and the price is too close to a better equipped Tesla Model 3 SR or a smart #1, which both also give rear wheel drive and feel much less "budget car"-like. At least over here in Europe. I'm not sure how the prices compare exactly over there. (Here, La Prima is priced higher than both other models I mentioned.)
Given that (clearly looking at the interior) this is a re-skinned Jeep Avenger, i wouldn't touch it with a bargepole given how that car seems to have major problems brand new in almost every review. It's strange, given the e-c4, 2008, etc seem to be just fine on the same platform.
Most of the interior parts (instruments and buttons) in the Avenger originally appeared in the Fiat 500e and after 2years and 37000 miles I haven’t had a single issue with mine…
@@gileshalliwell3591 I'm sure the fiat 500e is great, the problems with the Jeep Avenger that's on a different platform seem to be more about random brake failures, drivetrain failures, and having to restart the car and let it power off for a while. I just pointed out the interior as a sign of how related this 600 and the Avenger are.
Question, does these expensive cars from Stellantis imply that they really don't want to sell their cars? Or does it mean that they can't make price competitive value cars?
Stellantis aside from Tesla is the only company who's EV division are turning a profit. Hyundai/Kia, Ford, BMW etc are all subsidising the cost of their EV's from their ICE platforms
"154 house power is enough not loads" "and struggles a bit on a motorway if you want to overtake". "It'll be fine driving around town or at moderate speeds". Vehicle choice is becoming illusory - Opel / Vauxhall, Fiat, Citroen, Peugeot, Jeep are the same manufacturer slapping out the same basic vehicle in different shells. VW, Skoda, Seat & Cupra are the same manufacturer slapping the same basic vehicle in different shells. Even the Chinese are doing it with Volvo, Smart and Zeekr.
