I watch a lot of bear videos on youtube. But I have never watched a mother and sibling cub anguish over the loss of one as this. It was heart wrenching to see how they grieved so.
Of all the animal videos I have watched this has to be the saddest one I have ever seen. Just to see her mourning the loss of her baby is heartbreaking.
Bears aren't the only animal that has the emotions to mourn. One of our dogs got hit by a car and soon died. Her best friend, our other dog, sat by her body until my husband dug the grave...the next morning he thought she had gone outside without him, and he ran to find her, and rememberedmoaped around for days. One of our horses stood by the sick horses stall the entire time she was sick and didn't leave her doorway until she died. Then he was very angry and ran around the field and snorted and pounded the ground. Both of those animals recovered the shock of their losses, and actually lived long lives, and are still missed by us.
I CAN NOT BEAR TO WATCH THIS VIDEO , WHEN ANY ANIMAL CROSSES OVER , IT DEMORALIZES AND DEPRESSES ME TREMENDOUSLY , I DEARLY LOVE ALL ANIMALS , THE TREASURE OF THIS EARTH , AND THE ONLY LOYAL COMPANIONS MAN CAN EVER KNOW , BLESSED BE ALL ANIMALS .

What really moved me to tears was the moment when the young cub "kissed" his dead sibling. A very emotional video. How come no other videos of Bear 451 and surviving cub after her loss?
Animals are so loving and protective of their cub's. I felt so sad for mama bear with her cub passing suddenly. They're beautiful animals and so intelligent too 💞🐗
a number of years ago a family of eagles lost their nest and probably lost their chicks, to a no name storm. They sought solace from me because they saw me interacting with other animals. I visited some butchers for meat for them. After two years of visits from them, they brought two chicks to visit. So I had mom and dad and the chicks and three cats, all in my yard at the same time. They would call me from the trees each morning. They all did just fine together.
This is so true! When animals see compassionate humans interact with other animals they become drawn to them. When in trouble they ll go straight to our door. I found out today that it's much deeper than that though.
Animals can feel, can perceive, can grief and mourn... besides with all the videos about bears roaring and fighting and chasing, I find this onw very, very touching... and with no sound makes it even louder...
I remember seeing a programme some time ago - when a gamekeeper died, on the day of his funeral the gamekeepers cottage was surrounded by elephants who had walked for miles to grieve his passing. How did they know he had died. The funeral cars had difficulty getting to the house to take the family, it was surrounded by elephants. Obviously he cared for them and loved them and they knew that.
That reminds me of a true story I saw on the news once.....A man passed away and his German shepard literally laid on his grave grieving daily for the rest of its life . The dog was brought to its owners grave and constantly returned from there to visit .

It is sad and so many animals mourn their dead, I watched a monkey grieving for her baby. She carried the dead monkey around for day and vocalized her loss. Then the rest of the packed all came to smell the little one and the mother.
I couldn't find the link you talked about below. How would the cub have contracted this, and would the sow and the living cub be at risk from being around the deceased cub?
I hope the people who took the dead cub away respectfully and kindly disposed of the cub. I hope also that the park officials examined the cub to find the cause of death.
Does anyone know how the cub died? And her other cub seems like its lost and don't know what to do. Animals has feelings just like us. Look at this mama bear. She's not leaving and she's going down the road where they took her cub. I'm telling you she knows her cub is down there somewhere. Animals are so smart.
Maybe it would be better to leave the cub where he dies, in the future, so mama can come back and grieve properly. It seemed that a lot of what she did had to do with not understanding where her dead cub had disappeared to? Sad story. With so many animals doing poorly, I have a feeling you'll see a lot more of these deaths from, "unknown causes".
+annebeck58 The cause was CAV-1 (infectious canine hepatitis) and it's best NOT to leave the carcass of a dead bear of any age near the platforms because 1) bears will eat other bears, dead or alive, and it's best for the bears not to associate large bounties of meat with the viewing platforms where visitors are "available" 4 months out of the year, and 2) it's simply best not to leave an infected carcass laying around.
Cameras are set up for the internet viewing audience to watch "LIVE" how the brown bears live and interact with each other....Also, this is a national park and a heavily toured area where visitors travel that road frequently. Not good to leave a dead cub out for public display.
It actually happened after the tourist season was over -- I believe they had already dismantled the floating bridge -- it would've been just bones by the next season.
I watch a lot of bear videos on youtube. But I have never watched a mother and sibling cub anguish over the loss of one as this. It was heart wrenching to see how they grieved so.

So sad. 🤧
"SAD" 💜💜
It is sad and so many animals mourn their dead, I watched a monkey grieving for her baby. She carried the dead monkey around for day and vocalized her loss. Then the rest of the packed all came to smell the little one and the mother.
Животные добрея и умнее людей!!! И сердечнее чем люди!!!
Да это так
✨Sooooo sad✨ 😞 what happened?I agree hunter’s should not hurt the animals 💖
I couldn't find the link you talked about below.
How would the cub have contracted this, and would the sow and the living cub be at risk from being around the deceased cub?
Yes. It's contagious!!!
@@kathymccloud7131 I have looked twice and can’t find out what the cub died of…so what was contagious?
My dog was so depressed after our cat died that we had to take him to a therapist...
I hope the people who took the dead cub away respectfully and kindly disposed of the cub. I hope also that the park officials examined the cub to find the cause of death.
Animals grieve. Just because they may grieve differently from humans doesn't lessen the sorrow.
Oh she’s pawing him please wake up son. If I could be there I would be.
Does anyone know how the cub died? And her other cub seems like its lost and don't know what to do. Animals has feelings just like us. Look at this mama bear. She's not leaving and she's going down the road where they took her cub. I'm telling you she knows her cub is down there somewhere. Animals are so smart.
Poor Momma:((((((((((((
This breaks my heart❤️
Very sad sight 😥
Not sure what you mean by "so many animals doing poorly".
It actually happened after the tourist season was over -- I believe they had already dismantled the floating bridge -- it would've been just bones by the next season.
@@karastenberg2518 Who knows. Ridiculous.
Wow what happened to the beautiful baby?
