Evidently. This is proof that she understands the finality of her cub’s life. Also, I watched an episode of “The Bear Whisperer” here on RUclips, and a mother bear’s (named Blondie) cub got hit by a car & passed away. You could hear poor Blondie grieving & wailing, just like a “real” mom. It was so painful to watch, just like this is. 😢

That's not true Mr. Alaskan...By the way, I'm from South Florida but that doesn't make me an expert on Alligators...I've watched and more importantly studied enough, research to know what you stated is as far from reality of any dumb-arse comment posted....Why would the Mama eat her CUB...what if was a COY...Oh never mind...YOU LIVED IN ALASKA. you already know.... Do you not realize what you stated is the most pathetic qualifier I have ever heard in my life...I will extend you the common courtesy to project your ignorance by posting at some point within the next month (until September 10, 2023) ...VALIDATE YOUR BRILLANCE MR. ALASKA AND REFERENCE A SINGLE INCIDENT...either official or in some verifiable source material... WHERE A MOTHER BROWN BEAR AT BROOKS RIVER AREA OF KATMAI NATIONAL PARK IN ALASKA (just in case you weren't aware) ...PLEASE PROVIDE 1 REPORT WHEREBY A MOTHER BEAR HAS BEEN WITNESSED CONSUMING HER OWN DEAD CUB OR COY OR ANY OTHER DEAD COY OR CUB OR SUB-ADULT. BEAR FOR THAT MATTER....All of us IGNORANT WRETCHES WOULD LIKE TO BE EDUCATED BY YOU MR. ALASKAN...THIS ISN'T THE EFFING Serengeti (that's in Africa by the way). Curious, Can you point to where Brooks River is without looking it up first??? Can you point to where Katmai is located...Hint...IT'S IN ALASKA...It's also larger than Yosemite and Yellowstone Combined....Why are they called Brown Bears vs Grizzlies? Are they Grizzlies or are Grizzlies Brown bears???? What is the primary diet of the Bears in the Brooks River area??? Do large male/boars that occassionally kill COY...Do they eat it like a Grizzly would an elk??? Please provide a reference...Making it easy on you...I doubt you can answer any of those and I am confident you can not find a single reference validating what you proclaim after calling other people Ignorant Wretches... As the infamous Dean Wormer advised a young man during his time at Faber College, "... Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son...." Perhaps you should listen to Dean Wormer. Take Care

Just as we grieve when we lose our loved ones … God’s creation grieve when they lose they’re babies … No difference …. This is why we feel they’re loss when they lose … They go and we can’t bring them back …. We all feel for momma bears loss of her cub… She has to get up in time and WALK away … and care for her living cub … We do the same thing … We have to move on in our hurt and in our pain…. Time heals… Sometimes a long time ! She’s a good loving momma bear ! She’ll stay with her cub as long as she can… A momma’s love ! I have to go to work and I’m here looking at this in tears . Loss my wife to colon cancer 3 1/2 years ago … I have to move and breath every day . Momma bear has to take care of her living cub , and she will . Life can be hard .

Until you come face to face (30 ft.) with one of these bad boys, you have no idea just how big, big is. I must have stank because he shook his head at me and turned. That close, he would have had me for supper. One jump by that bear and it would be all over. All I would need now is to have a sasquatch check me out. They say Nordagg area is where there at. Always be aware of your surroundings when in the woods.
