I was locked up with the Green River Killer (Gary Ridgway), Jeff Gilooley (Tanya Harding's husband), and The Barefoot Bandit (Colton Moore). I have a story about when I first met The Barefoot Bandit. Funny AF. If you ever want to have an interview with an ex-con from Oregon and Washington State, I got you. I gave the State 17 years of my adult life. I've been out almost 9 years and now I work as a counselor for a 90 day co-occurring treatment facility for men. Salute, Josh!

Awesome interview bro! Out of any juvenile joint, county jail or state prison, walking the tier in Graterford for the first time was an experience I’ll never forget. When you walk on the tier you can’t see the end. 800 inmates per block 2 tiers high, the bubble in the middle and a chow hall at the end. Only 8 phones per block. Wild open prison.

100% correct on how he explained the first time he got to E Block after reception for the first time. When they opened the double doors it felt like I was walking into hell. From the dim lights, all the smoke floating in the air, the loud noises & yelling from the inmates on both tiers as you walk thru to get your mattress, sheets & toilet paper and find your cell. IT WAS TRULY UNLIKE ANY EXPERIENCE IN LIFE💯

A lot of faces over the years, and many young. Saw this one guy go from looking 25 - 50+ in a year, with his legs rotting. Everyday I drove past him with his cup and he just deteriorated as the months went by.

I was 17 years old my first time in state prison in Georgia. It was very intimidating and scary, couldnt believe what I'd gotten myself into...so thankful for the older white boys who watched over me and gave guidance...love yall homies

Ive always thought what he said his experience was, i could never do drugs in jail or prison no way been to both and was active in addiction also couldnt imagine the anxiety and also knowing im not in my right mind. If your in prison you need your wits about you at all times i couldnt imagine man.

This is so funny. I worked at SCP Graterford in 1990-91. It was as crazy as he says. When they call yard out, you get to the outside walls because there are about 3,000 dudes heading for the yard and you didn't want to be in the middle of that. If you were an assh*le CO on a cell block, you could find yourself flying from the 2nd tier to the floor really quick. It won't kill you, but I am sure it hurt like like h*ll! Any of the CO's that had 10 or more years in all seemed to walk around like Sgt Schultz (I see nothing, I hear nothing, ect., ect.)

I ended up in the hole for fighting in Bexar County in San Antonio, Texas, was one man cell. No cellie. Door kicking 24/7 was hell. No money for stamps. But I must have written 50 letters. Only one was sent out.
