Game City Shopping Mall. The biggest shopping mall in Botswana. It lies in the heart of Gaborone next to Kgale hill. The mall comprises of 59000 square meters in size, and 140 shops that consist of wide selection from clothing, grocery, boutiques, jewellery, cinema, homeware & furniture, pharmacies, restaurants, banking, gift stores, bookshops and many more. It was opened in 2002 and since then has seen a boost in growing the retail industry in Gaborone and Botswana as a whole.
The mall design is beautiful and simple, it consists many atrium that connect to the central spaces making It is easy to navigate. The mall consists of outdoor parking and a multi-storey car park. Game City hosts annual public or private events and celebrations in it venues such as wedding expos, Christmas carols, Comedy shows etc. A small section of multi-storey car park is undergoing developments to create recreational five aside football matches and other activities.
The mall is located along Lobatse road, next to Gaborone Commerce Park. Just opposite the street is car dealerships such as Ford, Volvo and VW, a car parts shop and CA distribution centre. From the top of Kgale hill you can see the mal.
