Thank you! I’ve been looking for a video that explains the types of applications and yours is the first one that gave that information as well as how to use it. Great video 👍
Thanks Bill. I had been eyeing off one of these for a while but wasn't sure if it was capable of doing the jobs I wanted to do. Now, thanks to you, I can buy with confidence Cheers
Hi mate this review is very helpful thank you. Can you please advise which of the two is better suited for deck framing the Ryobi one + nailer or the Ryobi one + finish nailer ?
@@billshowto Your the best Ryobi advertisement on the internet, for real i've bought a couple more of the One+ skins due to your trusted reviews. #ryobianz
I've got a decent collection of Ryobi one+ ... Bit the bullet and bought one... First nail gun I've ever used... Love it... However the max length is 64mm (2.5 inches) 15 gauge nail. I think I need at least 3" and a thicker gauge I'm trying to build wall frames for a 3x3 meter shed. Realised it's just a big finishing gun.. I'm gonna need a bigger gun...lol... Looking for options... I have an Air Compressor
Ryobi make an air framer.... I have one. It’s $158 at Bunnings. Haven’t had it long but it seems quite decent. I own both the 15ga one reviewed here and the framer and I agree - they serve completely different purposes
I've seen several of your videos and Ryobi need to hire you as a spokesman. I'm not a Ryobi fanboy, but their AirStrike nailers are fantastic tools - well, except for the pin nailer which is kind of a turd. Are you going to do a video on the child's playhouse? PS, Great shirt.
I only provide an honest review and ryobi has served me exceptionally well. I have uploaded the video on the playhouse and I’ll include a link to it. Thanks 👍 ruclips.net/video/WoUeUnGXqo4/видео.html
Hi what size round head nails can this use. im looking to secure decking joist hangers but not sure if the nail will pass through the pre drilled holes
just one question bud, i bought this gun today R18NL15 basically to do the quads around the floating floor boards, can I use this nail gun on quads even if the floor boards are against concrete floor or it can only work with timber? thanks
I have this nail gun and it's been shooting nails only halfway through material. I've cleaned and oiled it, messed with the depth cage, and partially taken it apart to find the issue to no prevail. Now I think it's the batteries, but before I go out and buy some does anybody have any input? Thanks in advance
Hey mate, great video. I am looking at something like this for small woodworking projects and was wondering if this unit goes smaller on the nails it uses. I want to keep everything as small as possible. Maybe there is another unit in the R1plus range. I looked at the stapler but it only seems to use crowned staples and I would prefer nails. Any help appreciated mate, have a crackin day. Andrew.
@@billshowto I just realised after watching your most recent video Bill where I recognised you from. Good old Leumeah HS. I was in Awads year with all the other boys Ali, Osman, Wallid, Karillos. You were with Tariq and Osman older brother the year above. We use to pump you guys in footy at lunch times haha you still the same since HS.
HELLO can i use this for putting up a stockade premade fence paneles? I plan on making a fence this sat already bought 2 grand in materials and now im thinking about buying a nail gun
Not sure if you've put up your fence yet, but yes you can. I put up a 6' privacy fence with treated lumber, years ago with 15gauge finish nails and it's still going strong. Instead of putting 2 screws or framing nails in each crossmember, I put in 4 nails.
I'm addicted to the Ryobi One Plus lineup and own a dozen of their tools! I don't even know what I would need this for but I have to have it.

This is the review I was looking for. Not an unboxing, but an extended-use review. Great video and details!
You’re welcome 👍
This is a brilliant review and demonstration. Thank-you. I just bought one. You have a new subscriber.
Thanks Bill.

Will Ryobi ever offer a framing nailer, you think?
that looks fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol unfortunately ryobi doesn’t have a framing nailer. For gas less framing nailer I have been using the dewalt which is great. 👍

Can you use it for building a fence
Will the 2 1/2 inch hold a 2x6 to a 2x6. My wife wants a bunch of raised beds and I really don’t want to do them by hand
Thanks Bill great review

hey bill, would this be any good for fencing or is a coil gun the only choice?
just one question bud, i bought this gun today R18NL15 basically to do the quads around the floating floor boards, can I use this nail gun on quads even if the floor boards are against concrete floor or it can only work with timber? thanks
Hi it definitely won’t go through concrete. They may need to be glued rather than nailed
cheers bill
👍
Could this be used to clad a house or on weatherboard mate?
Hi great review! Can i use it for wainscoating?
Sure can 👍
Hi bill
What size and brand nail do you use for nailing skirting and door frames ?👍👍
Any brand is fine, the size depends on how thick the timber is your nailing. Usually 38mm is fine
Hi, You are nailing or concrete wall or wooden wall?
These are not for concrete, wood only.

Ryobi one+ pin nailer
@@huntersolem5453 cheers mate, hope you had a cracking long weekend.
What for an exact model of ryobi is this ?
hi mate i have to replace my side fence with new a palings would this nailer do the job...
You need a framer gun
Can I use this on 2x4s
Has ryobi stopped making this 15gauge nailer? I’m in the uk and can not find it anywhere, only the 16 gauge?
18 gauge is the best
Can you use this gun for framing?
No, this is a finishing gun 👍
Great video, where did you get nails for this gun??
All hardware store sell them, they are da angle brad nails. I purchased them from bunnings warehouse 👍

All major hardware stores will have them 👍
Is it a brad nailer or finish nailer?
Finish
Put that coffee down! Coffee's for closers
Title states " brad nailer" But its a "Finish Nailer"
Why is my nail gun shutting 2 nails instead of on
Have you got the correct nails in ?
Billshowto I believe I do
