Great win I used to say Battaash was as good as Black Caviar just to stir the Aussies. But now I actually think it's true. He may even be better. Obviously she was more consistent, he's mental so he'd never win 25 in a row. But when he is on his game and over a straight 5f there wouldn't be much in it either way.

In his younger day, I could imagine the jockey jim crowley would have merrily killed Battash, not knowing which one had turned up to race.
