That is hermit crab. These crabs change its shell as it grow in size. In morning hours those crabs go to sea shore to look for new and suitable shells landing by action of waves. Fishermen use it as bite for fishing. Minicoy is a unique cultural linguistic and ethnic community in whole of India. Among all Indian Islands it is strategically most important island. The Queen territory of Lakshadweep.
