      Hi Patrick. It’s good to be back! Thanks for checking my latest video 😊. And thanks for producing a fantastic bit of kit! I’ve had lots of fun using it and can’t wait to get out again as soon as I catch a break in this weather!

    I ordered the trekker model since its usually just myself going for hikes, i discovered your channel while watching videos to scratch the itch while i wait for mine to be delivered. I subd because i love cooking and being outdoors so seeing all your cooking videos outdoors i had to sub. When i decided to buy the trekker i knew it would be a great piece of kit to take with me, the water volume it holds is 600ml which is plenty for one person and with how fast it heats water if i need more that shouldn't be an issue or i could have a amall pot on top heating at the same time if i needed extra. I enjoy the videos you've put out and hope theres more to come, for now i think ill check out some more of them

    welcome back ;) . i love my trekker, but will buy scout. As much as i love trekker, its just to small (0.6L or so), for anything but morning coffee :( . system itself is nearly perfect, if company would only added inner or outer threads on outlet with additional cap so one could carry water in it already... with that, it would be PERFECT imho.

    • @parkitpitchitmoorit

      Thank you! So good to be back. Thanks for hanging in there. I’ve never used a Trekker but it did seem a bit small. You’ll probably find a fire easier to maintain in the scout as the fire bowl is slightly bigger too. Someone did suggest to me once to buy the orange stopper that KK used to have before they went with the green whistle cap. I believe you can buy this separately. The green cap is a very snug fit so if the orange one is the same it should stay sealed in a backpack (kept upright of course). Thanks again for watching. I won’t leave it so long before getting out another video. Cheers. Neil

    Welcome back. I've been trying the camping plates on my Trekker & they really add to the kit like the hobo stove. I can fit the smaller cup & have a larger spare. The new pot stand is good with the narrower Trekker to add stability. Great fun to use & not have to carry fuel. Like my Trangia 27, windy weather isn't a nuisance either.

      @parkitpitchitmoorit tbh only thing I use is the kettle the base and the hobo bit

    • @parkitpitchitmoorit
      @parkitpitchitmoorit  9 месяцев назад

      @@chucky2316 That’s the three pieces I mostly use too. Quite often I’ll use the Kettle to boil water to set aside for later (for washing up), this helps produce a good bed of embers for cooking on with the hobo stove. Great fun to use aren’t they!

      I do have the Ultimate kit and have familiarized myself thanks to your detailed and informative videos.
      I would like to share with you in case you may be in need of an off grid oven that is portable and comes with a carry tote.
      My Patriot Supply makes one where you may use outside elements for heat and also canned heat as an option. It is called Ember Oven. Good for making pizza, baking breads, corn on the cob, etc.
      Thank you very much for your wonderful channel which is so very helpful to all of us. God bless you always and keep safe.
