Wow. Only now admiring her work, now she's gone. I always loved the Bands she sang in, but never focused on her. Sadly, one of the Best, now singing before God.

Judith had a beautiful, clear as a bell voice. So sorry to hear of her passing. It hurts our hearts when our favorite singers leave us. Rest In Peace Judith, you brought beauty into our lives.
Judith Durham and INXS! Wow, now that was the last thing I expected to see but it was great. Michael Hutchence would be smiling and quietly tapping his knee I reckon.
Absolutely. It is brilliant performance. I love that INXS are clearly enjoying it and are playing wonderfully. One of my favourite videos out of the millions on RUclips.
I grew up with Judith and the seekers I have all there 45s She was an awesome singer she was Beautiful in so many ways my heart ❤️ just broke when I heard she passed 💔 Now Judith sings with the angels What a treet for God RIP
can just see Michael (his spirit) up there as a backup singer or it would have been great to see them singing together .... but i think he would have gladly been a backup singer and enjoyed this beautiful voice take the lead....love the humility
I was there, in the public area behind the invited guests. I was singing along, next to a grandmother, dancing with her grandchild. We both agreed we were delighted to see and hear Judith.
Two different generations coming together to sing and play a classic song. Did Judith ever sing a bad note? We lost two Australian treasures in 2022 Judith and Olivia. Thankfully we have social media platforms such as RUclips where hopefully we will be able to hear these voices a long time coming. RIP Judith and dear Olivia.
The band has the playing skills of everyone’s first band in high school. Judith’s vocals deserve much better backup than a bunch of wannabe Secret Service agents pretending to be musicians, lol.
Just adored Judith Durham, amazing singer. I was born in 1960 so heard her with the band 'The Seekers', just brilliant. Loved 'I'll never find another you', 'The Carnival is over', & 'Island of Dreams' as well as many more!!
What an absolutely fantastic clip. I've never seen this performance before and I love Georgy Girl, how have I missed it? RIP Judith. Happy New Year to (almost nearly) everybody in the world. Peace and Love to you all. Take care! XX
So amazing to see a totally analog live performance in recent history, great stuff. Loved the single drum and trumpet, very down home result, I wish buskers still performed like this in the few places they seem to be allowed to in these neofascist times.
I've always said that Judith could sing a grocery list, and with her vibrato it would be a top ten hit. Georgie Girl is just more proof! Her delivery is so smooth and easy....remarkable, and she WILL be missed. Bless you Judith.
@@darrenwells2277 i hope they do a tribute at the Grammy's and the Oscars for Judith Durham because the AMA only did a tirbute for Olivia Newton John on november 20th of 2022
@@darrenwells2277 my friend darren the inxs needs to put rick springfield into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in australia too like judith durham did for them too
INXS did some good stuff, but I never thought they'd adapt themselves to this style of music. It shows that real musicians can do anything if they try.
This song came out in December of 1966. I imagine I might have heard it as I was newborn (8/66), so it's always been with me. In addition, Saturday Morning cartoons of course had endless toy commercials and among them were the Barbie dolls (for girls, but the jingles caught my attention) and the theme for a lot of those old Barbies? A reworked and eventually cut down 'Georgy Girl'.
One of the best story songs of the 60's, note the drummer standing up with just a snare drum. Today, it has to be a massive drum set and a big overkill!
One of a kind. Totally incapable of hitting a bad note anytime anywhere. RIP Judith!
i heard a few

Reminds me of when John Denver died. Mourned him for a full 24 hours. Olivia Newton John left us now too. I really loved her songs, duets, etc.

The voice of my youth. She and the Seekers featured a lot on junior choice on Saturday mornings. Rest in piece ma’am.

Just watched this. Heartwarming to see the hippest Aussie band of the 80's giving proper respect to the massive talent of Judith Durham.
