You are right this elitism garbage goes on in every community, I actually sold the master suspension wheel and kept my EX-N, had nothing but issues with the master, newer isn't always better.

The best wheel out there imo is the one that makes you happy and it looks like you have that forsure.

I think you are on the perfect wheel! EXN high speed? Beauty of that wheel is all that overhead, like 100-107kph free spin. So riding in the 20s and 30s? Chance of failure very low. Leaning to ride on a non-suspension wheel trains one to use their legs, knees as suspension - which is good riding habits. Non suspension EUCs are simpler units, with fewer parts, easier to maintain/fix. They certainly have a place and upside. However, over certain surfaces, suspension allows for controlled riding at speed that isn't a thing on a non-suspension wheel. They also have their place, and theres a reason why people are so fanatical about the new wheels, coming from non-suspension background.
Falls off the EUC come in two varieties: controlled and uncontrolled. Either can happen at any speed. A controlled fall is one the rider sees coming, but has no choice but to bail, and can make some choices on the way down. An uncontrolled fall is the one you find yourself on the ground, picking up the pieces, before any choice is considered. A good example of an uncontrolled fall is a pedal clip, where the wheel turns 90 degrees under your feet, instantly. In that case, the face plant is sudden. I completely agree that people are different, and would argue that those with athletics in their background, especially some martial arts, are going to be better at falling than others. That is just a fact.
The vast majority of wheel cut outs are user error: overpowering wheel, riding through beeps, pushing through pedal tilt, riding hard at low battery. Generally if a wheel powers off unexpectedly, at safe speed, with plenty of battery? That's not a cut out, that's some sort of electronics/firmware failure.
I've often wondered about that too with the immortals: Shibby, Kuji, Tishawn - why they never got/get hammered for recklessness, and others get killed by viewers. Double standard for sure.

The bigger wheels are just too expensive, yet people are still going to pay the price. The only big wheel I bought is the Abrams. And at 2300euro, it is the best buy. You get a lot more wheel and the problems have been solved with the extra capacitors (only E-Rides). Some people like the very old wheels. The Gotway wheels preceding the MSX. Kingsong upgraded the older wheels. Which is a good thing. The 16X is still very popular. There is a right wheel for everybody and it is not always the newer wheels.
These king of people are everywhere. I am also a bit guilty of talk down on other pev, like the OneWheel and e-skateboard(mountain boards). I know the experience is difference and in some use case they are better than the EUC. But practically the EUC is just better. If you want to flee from cops, EUC is the best. You can go everywhere.

I watch a lot of Mike's videos, not all of them, and I have seen a lot of people give him crap about not wearing a helmet. He always seems to wear all the other gear though. I think you are appropriately geared up for this ride. I definitely think that gear is important. Not all gear is appropriate at all times despite the "ATGATT" and that some of us do have it in their DNA to not get hurt (I have been tested and failed that one). I definitely don't think you need the latest greatest wheels, but the latest gear, or at least late gear is a necessity for some. For me that is true. New wheels I am interested in safety, low maintenance, durability, range and waterproofing, not in that order and the first three are probably one in the same thing. I am pretty happy with what i have and don't need any bricks in the corner, but using them regularly and having two of the three down at this time has me curious. I think you are right about your thought about waiting for something reliable, even if it costs a bit more. I am sad IM didn't go for a bigger wheel, must be smaller and less range is now more popular. I wonder if that is a reflection of how many people are entering in, rookies, with these smaller suspension wheels. Seems like a smart play on both their behalves.
