- Piers Morgan's last interview with Dr Jordan Peterson has been viewed around the world more than 17 million times - and now the infamous clinical psychologist is back to talk about Meghan Markle, Elon Musk, Donald Trump and more.
Peterson addresses Meghan's criticism of him in her podcast Archetypes and says he stands by his comments about women that made her target him. He also answers the question of whether Trump is a sociopath and tells Piers whether he would return to Elon Musk's Twitter after being banned from the social media platform.

But Peterson raises his concern that this 3% is using social media to skew perceptions of the general population as well as this minority that dominates/poisons the discourse. But, so what?! Solution could be requiring verification.

And it's only psychopaths that lie online? That's why I can't follow psychology that closely. It's too subjective. None of them know the people that make up people online. He also seems to think that the people online don't make up a good example of "normal" people, but that is a lie. He just doesn't know how people really are because in his head he's learned that most people are respectful and don't have attitudes. Aren't assholes ever or curse. He doesn't get that that is how we've socialized people to act in public, but online is another ballgame. That's never been public to people online and they act more like they would at home, which is an asshole or get heated. They curse too. I've been trying to tell people for years society is fake and we're all socialized to act one way, but most people aren't anything like they act in public. I've known too many people in life to see the two faces most people have.

The great interview shows (Dick Cavett, David Frost, Michael Parkinson, usw) worked as they did because the host understood that it was his job to get the guest to reveal himself or herself, and not to express the host's own views. The most famous example would be Frost's interview with Richard Nixon. Letting Peterson speak freely is providing great content with no effort - just let him rip. People will be back for more.

Sense of humor? I have never seen him smile or laugh.
@@tinasmith8376 He sometimes makes people laugh by stating the obvious in a very severe and serene fashion without raising an eyebrow himself. He has made me laugh repeatedly while keeping his cool. George Galloway has the same dry sense of humor. When wise men speak they are barely ever displaying emotions. The "giggling guru" might have been an exception or perhaps he was just another gifted courtjester.

I’m so happy that Jordan is free of Clonipin. When I was in 11th grade I had a few panick attacks and she prescribed 2 a day for 5 years. She would mail them to me when I was in college. I didn’t drink much and rarely did recreational drugs. My panic attacks with therapy lessened and I wanted to get off of them. My Dr. Told me that tapering almost never works and here I am, living a great life, and he told me I had to go to rehab or I would start having seizures and would possibly loose my life. I had to take 6 months off of school and quit my job. I was I rehab for 2 months but felt hopeless for another two months. Thank god my parent helped me pay rent. Since I was 16 when prescribed a high dose for over 5 years we sued the Dr. It wasn’t a crazy lawsuit. I lost a year of my life and because she didn’t want to loose her license we settled out of court in less than 2 weeks. To see Jordan so sharp and health looking brings me so much joy!
You might be the only person I’ve ever heard of winning a lawsuit of this kind, whether in court or out. Good for you! In my generation, if you got a tooth cavity filled, the dentist would give you 30 Percocet with a refill!! Now you can lose an arm and the Dr. will prescribe 2 pills! Times have changed. I got on Oxy from a back injury, basically ruined 20 years of my life. I’m just happy both of us made it out! Continued success my friend.

His honest verdict on Donlad Trump is an absolute indication of his professional independence . Great personality.
I disagree. It is Peterson's refusal to label Trump a psychopath, which he undoubtedly is, which calls all of Peterson's assertions and motives into question. As a clinical psychologist, Peterson knows Trump satisfies all the diagnostic requirements. Donald Trump is the most OBVIOUS narcissist the world has ever seen, living to get himself on TV every day while in the Oval Office, starting fires with tweets just to get media coverage so he could look at himself in the mirror of TV on every screen in the White House. I could list traits and behaviors which nail Trump to the cross of psychopathy, but clearly you, like Peterson, have a biased expectation and desire when it comes to Donald Trump, and you ignore all of his obviously nefarious and malignant behaviors because he satisfies a dark need for control in your heart and mind, to the exception and denial of all other facts in evidence.

The source of her compassion is sympathetic and not empathic.
Empathy, is to understand another person's emotions. The focus is centered on the other person's emotions and the imagined emotional experience derived from that understanding. One's own emotional mechanisms needs to be ignored when attempting to truly understand the emotional experiences of others.
Sympathy is kinda the opposite of empathy. To employ sympathy, one does not need to understand the other person's emotions or what they're truly experiencing. When one puts oneself in the shoes of others, one is basically selfishly imagining what oneself would experience, and disguarding what the other person is experiencing.
E.g. Let's say I love and adore snakes. But you are terrified of snakes.
And imagine you're observing someone with a snake walking up behind me, to surprise me.
Sympathy will cause you to imagine me having an unpleasant emotional experience.
Empathy will cause you to imagine me having a pleasant emotional experience.
A person who lacks empathy, has an inclination toward employing sympathy.
With sympathy, there's is a self centred focus on one's own emotions, and a focus on how oneself would feel.
Narcissists are self centered, and don't care about the emotions of others. They lack the neurological capacity for empathy (the part of their brain responsible for empathy has reduced neural activity)...which is what's needed to emotionally emulate other people's emotions. And because they lack the mental hardware to be able to innately perceive the other person's emotional mechanisms, and only really perceive and emotionally understand their own emotional mechanisms, they resort to using their own emotional mechanisms when attempting to understand the emotional experience of others.
This is why they display a kind of sefl centered compassion, offence, etc "on behalf od other". The truth is, their compassion, offence taken, etc, is actually toward an imagined version of themselves.
Humans who are truly capable of empathy (which is most humans), don't have to always resort to putting themselves in the shoes of others, because normal people are neurologically capable of imagining other people in people's own shoes, and feel what they feel, not what I would feel...(a selfless experience which is unimaginable to narcissists, psycopaths and sociopaths, due to them lacking the neurological hardware needed to experience empathy).

To come to the conclusion that "no one cares" (which is an opinion on the emotion of others) would require employing either sympathy or empathy.
Empathy, in this scenario, would require understanding the emotions of every other individual who came accross that comment. Which is not possible, because of the anonymity of YT (someone capable of empathy would be aware of this).
Sympathy on the other hand, only requires the self centered narcissistic view of what 'you' alone feel, and then imagining how 'you' would feel in the shoes of others reading that.
A person incapable of empathy can't imagine any other view. Which is why you're only able to imagine that "no one cares".
Perhaps, because you're not neurologically capable of imagining what others actually feel due to reduced neural activity in your prefrontal cortex (aka employing empathy), but only able to employ what you would feel.

You need to listen to him speak in more than just this clip. Dr. Peterson takes the weight of the world on his shoulders. I have seen him weep for humanity and our terrible histories and the mistakes we keep repeating. It has taken a very hard toll on him, as it does with any empath.

Agreed with most of Jordan's comments. Appreciate his voice and his viewpoints. One thing not mentioned besides trolls is the use of internet bots to assist with promoting propaganda or one particular viewpoint. These bots and the people who write and use them are not interested in debate. But rather a poisoning of the well with only one biased view.

I appreciate that Peterson is conservative and rational but I'm not sure he can ever get to the point in a brief, succinct, and attention holding manner. The guy reminds me of Dennis Miller as a sportscaster. He was awful with his frequent disconnected meanderings on air. Peterson's pharting out every term in a sociologist/psychiatrist handbook makes me feel I should be laying on a couch paying 500$ an hour for help I don't need. So many other voices out there can convey the message you want to hear so much better ..

Jordan is fantastic. Our whole family went to hear him. We were expecting to see only young men surprised to see older couples whole families with both gendered siblings, many women as well as men. I admire Jordon Petersons work because he gives you the scientific facts and the cause and effect data and after that he explores the notion of a moral code and that's generally about surviving life with as little trauma as possible. His advice - First start with make your own bed and clean up your room is so true and revalent.Perhaps it's my age but I began to see such arrogance and lack of respect from students in he classroom. Universities drop the word teaching and learning from their mission statements. Free Speech was only granted to ever growing radical and marginal groups on campuses. In the towns and cities near where I live ( in Devon in the UK ) the work ethic is is dying and the benefit claimants are growing. I used to think I was a natural born progressing voting socialist but it turns out I'm a hardened Conservative border line Neo Fascist and now Psychopath.
@@LadyPercy. It's not a scientific fact that social media is run by psychopaths. Most of what psychology and sociology is isn't facts. It's a lot of subjective bullshit just like the gender stuff. He doesn't agree with that, but he agrees with a lot of other bullshit he's learned that has no scientific foundation and mostly subjective. While I agree with a lot of what he says, he's still sometimes wrong to me. I do agree with him on gender studies, but I don't think he's right on some things. I just feel they don't sometimes use the scientific method correctly to get results. What he says is too subjective and just his own views.
I've never understood why women with a 'voice' continually put down and verbally denegrate other women. Nor why women with a 'voice' continually put down men.

I agree. He manages the time well with his guests also. Keeps them from veering off course. Sometimes I wish they could go just a bit further but alot of them would get too far off if he didn't keep them moving forward. He keeps a good balance imo.
