I think what he means is that nowadays the music industry has gone the wrong way. Of course what you guys say is true about technological advancement but nowadays a teenager listening to these songs would get bullied due to the crappy rap, hip hop and these artists are not singers nowadays since they cant sing. they are performers. Also the fake genres like grime etc make current generation even crappier.
