    George Karl can't stop putting his foot in his mouth to save his life!! He's been living on opposite day for the last 4 decades, so if he said that, I welcome it. It means we'll prolly have 30+ wins b4 the All-star break!! I remember when he couldn't shut-up and MJ took it personally and kept punishing the Sonics for his nonsense!!

    George should know that the GSWs play a style of basketball that excites fans and viewers across the nation and the world. TV and ratings are inextricably connected. The GSWs are masters in creating interest and excitement that generate revenue for teams, TV Networks, and the NBA. I'm a nobody, but I like knowing the GSWs are league favorites who make the Bay Area and the sport great.

    I think Karl is 100% right. The NBA promoting through certain predefined stars instead of promoting the broader team aspect of the game and a greater number of players. The fact that two playin teams that still arent great have the most TV teams casualizes the sport.

    • @noctwice
      @noctwice 25 дней назад

      Setting aside the comment by Karl on win totals. The NBA sells a product. The fans and the viewing audiences determine which teams get the most air time. There is a reason why the Lakers, Celtics and Knicks are nearly always on top. Teams that draw the largest audiences, sell the most jerseys and have the most fans are what advertisers are paying for. This is true in every sports league too. Money talks

    • @kevinmclain4080
      @kevinmclain4080 25 дней назад

      @noctwice So many naive things stated here. Where the NBA decides to spend money to advertise certain teams and players impacts what people watch. This is called promotion. It works. That's why they do it. If they promoted other players and teams they would gain popularity and viewership. Of course not all population demographics are the same. Some teams have more viewers in their market. But that has a far smaller impact on what teams have the most nationally televised games.

    • @noctwice
      @noctwice 24 дня назад

      @@kevinmclain4080 You misunderstand how the process works. Jokic is arguably the most talented player in the league and just won his third MVP award. Denver won the NBA championship just last year. But fairly or not Jokic doesn’t draw fans to arenas on the road, sell as many jerseys or get nearly as many views on those national TV games he played. Steph and Lebron pack the arenas, sell the most jerseys and of course easily draw the most views on their national TV games played even though both were playing on bubble teams.
      Here are some more facts for you. Which NBA teams bring in the most revenue? Which NBA teams have the highest road attendance? Which NBA teams draw the largest viewing audience on National TV broadcasts? For all three questions It’s the same four teams on top: Warriors, Celtics, Lakers, Knicks. Not in the top ten is Denver.
      One last thing. Anthony Edwards is one of the fastest developing stars in the NBA. He is measuring well in economic metrics above. The NBA took notice and Minnesota added the most number of televised games for the upcoming season. The process works and not because the NBA decided to promote Ant. The economic metrics drives the promotion not the other way around.

    • @kevinmclain4080
      @kevinmclain4080 24 дня назад

      @noctwice Jokic doesn't get this because he's not promoted like LeBron or Curry or even Anthony Edwards or Luka for that matter. This isn't complicated chucklehead.
      Perhaps you don't understand what the word "promoted" means. Anthony Edwards is going to get promoted like heck this season. His name will be all over NBA propaganda outlets (ESPN). And because of that his jersey sales will increase.
      It's beyond stupid that you think it works the other way.

    • @noctwice
      @noctwice 24 дня назад

      @@kevinmclain4080 Ahh my suspicions were confirmed and you fell right into it.
      The league did promote Jokic. Had him highlighted in much of their marketing material and ads. Greatly increase Denver’s nationally broadcast games tied for 5th most among all teams. Results speak for themselves. Denver did not have good numbers watching their nationally broadcast games, nor did they drive good attendance numbers on the road, even as national champs Denver didn’t have good merchandise sales.
      Go back to your day job

    I agree.... And I'm a die-hard Warriors fan for 40 years is Steph Curry is my favorite player of all time do I have built-in bias but also have reality. I'm grateful for a dynasty but even I know understanding basketball that for the next 7-8 years there will be no playoffs for us..
    I love you but if you're going to be a real basketball fan I want you to tell me how we're going to be better than and defend against these 10 teams for us to fight for a play in and I want you to remember we have a 6"6 center we decided to keep future Hall of famer in the new NBA logo Podz over a 7 ft center who shoots 40% from 3 how many grams 9 rebounds a game.
    We are not better than nor can we defend against Denver OKC Timberwolves Phoenix Dallas Memphis Sacramento Lakers Pelicans Clippers... That's 10 teams. Who's stopping Joker? KD? Luka? Jah? Zion? LeBron and AD? Fox and DeRozan? Clippers the deepest team in the league... Oldest teams have big men against a 6"6 36 year old Draymond.. things have gone terribly wrong is front office has failed us in my 40 Years of the fan I've never been more disappointed and more disgusted... I think it's a reach for us to win 30 games. And please tell me who BP is going to be an All-Star over? Luka Booker SGA Fox Murray Antman DeRozan Kyrie Delonte Murray and Jah .. that is 10 All Star what caliber guards not one of them am I choosing BP over.... Not trading him was a mistake. BP is a mid Talent player he is not Elite... Come on a high school player in the NBA select team Cooper flag outshines him...
    Can you honestly think this team is presently constructed is better than Sacramento??????
    This season is over before it starts we're not better than any of these teams and we need to face reality we're going to be fighting for 9 or 10 spot and even if we managed to somehow get the 8 spot we're not beating the number one team... Can we just stop gaslighting our fans enjoy what we have seen over the last 10 years embrace ourselves it happens is basketball...

    I’ve been a fan of the warriors since my dad was taken me in the late 90’s. But let’s not get delusional. Warriors are going to have a hard time with top 11 teams in the west. I won’t be surprised if the warriors don’t even get in the play in. Our run is done and we just accept and start rebuilding for the future. Curry will be having hard time especially now that the warriors don’t have a true second option scorer.

      it's highly dependent on the progression of their young core. Kuminga, Podz, Moody, Trayce all have potential to be stars and after Podz and Trayce got time on the olymipic squad i think at the very least those two are about to take some massive strides. Kuminga and Moody are coming into their contract years off their rookie contracts. They about to ball out. That doesn't even mention the draft. Quinten post has a very very high ceiling but his starting point is the most intriguing as he spent his full time in college and developed his mental and physical for the game more so that most before entering the NBA. I'm expecting Post to make an immediete impact. Buddy Heild is basically a replica of Klay, the extra veteran pick ups this off season will bear fruit. Honestly it's been a decent amount of time since the team looked this good. Only thing to worry about is the excessive amounts of variables. Green staying on the court matters here too

    I love Podz potential but I don't understand why the Warriors didn't trade him for Lauri. At first I rather they traded Kuminga but after learning Draymond about to retire in two years maybe it's best to keep him so that means we should trade Podz. Maybe we can get John Collins and Walker Kessler in a trade for a package of Moody (Kerr doesn't play him) Looney, GP2, Wiggins and two second round picks. I don't know how the contract works but I just want us to get rid of Wiggins. 😢
