It's so bloody great to listen to you guys talk about books I think it's just plain EPIC!!!!
I went back to reading after a sabbatical and gulped up with a month almost 3 books as per your last recommendation and like a crazy person am back for more in the same month 😁
Keep up the good work ladies and keep them coming.
Hope the two of you do end up writing or finishing your novels for us to get our hands on it.

So happy to see namita here. I bawled while reading- know my name by chanel miller.

Book that will make u cry- when breathe becomes air
I do miss you guys sitting with guest and chat..
good chat with Namita .. finally someone talked about educated by tara westover.
suggestion if any one is planning to read- read it don’t listen…
what did you think?
@@BooksonToast i personally liked it.
it is interesting and her journey is inspiring at some level.
Also it is interesting to read about people who don’t believe in entire system ( education, government, hospitals etc ) and believe world is near to end and prepare each day as “how to survive if today is last day of world”
i have heard in America, there are people who believe in this concept, but never read so closely about it.
The way she came out of that world is inspiring.
P.S : personally, reading this book is better than listening.
Why no more videos from you guys for a year?! I hope all is good...
Talking about books that were released in 2021, I would definitely recommend "Sparks Like Stars" by Nadia Hashimi.
I picked her recommendation - the other words by jhumpa lahiri last week, what a book !! such a delight.
I wish this was conducted fully in English.
Please also consider adding the goodreads url's of the books along with the amzn url's
Wow that’s what I am looking for since long.
PLZZ DO ONE WITH DHRUV SEGHAL
that's what she said.

that's what she said.

I love these kinds of episodes. Thank you! Lots of love from Punjab :)
that's what she said.
Next JLF even I wish to go with you guys 😭😭😭😭
Can anyone please tell me who are they talking about when they that "he has read 100 books this year"?
I think vivek tejuja
Yo why did you stop posting?
Not That Bad - you got to listen to the audiobook as well. The people who contributed are the ones who narrate their essays. Its so gooooood!
Know My Name - Carry on. At some point of time. Whenever you can. It breaks you down and then builds you up. You can't give up when you're still broken down. You have to get to the building up!! Lol. But it's totally understandable. It's a very hard read.
Lol, love the Vivek fangirling.
Century trilogy!!! Yessssss. ✨✨ Best. Don't get intimidated. It gets done damn fast.
Omg dinner party with Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet would be fucking AMAZEEEE. shit.
What a fun conversation this was. ✨
Smriti you know how much we love you... you don't
Please read the essay collection- its not about the burqa. Its also on storytel also read by the contributors.

12:01 There I got my reason for reading books also.. even I didn’t know till now.. it’s a never ending quest for forming coherent thoughts about a topic 🫶🏼
20:20 haha🤣

that's what she said.
❤️
💕💕💕
Please call ItiShree as your guest. Please please
Books on Toast, you guys do a great job. However, I wish you could diversify more. Read about the marginalized people of India, about casteism, about anti-caste movements. Read Babasaheb's works. And if you have read them, talk about them. You can go on talking about virtues like empathy and love; about racism and American literature for hours. Agreed. But, will you ever talk about our history of the marginalized?
That is LITERALLY THE ONLY THING that is spoken about in India & outside India. Also, I am not disparaging Dr. Ambedkar but everyone associated with freedom movement needs to be removed from a pedestal and address their biases and problematic pov as well. The extreme glorification of Dr. Ambedkar is equally an issue.
@@ron_ron9024 No it is not. You are free not to read history or about the contribution of any freedom fighter or Babasaheb. You are free to live in denial. It is not extreme glorification. It is what is necessary. You and I were not born in an era when the time demanded us to be freedom fighters. Let not your privilege blind you to such an extent that you fail to recognise their humungous contribution.
@@abhishekchoudhary8073 You claim to know a lot about me and don't you share the same privilege? I believe you are the one living in denial if you believe every historical figure is a hero, they all had their own flaws too including Dr. Ambedkar.
