This show is so incoherent and inconsistent especially when it comes to the Supes and their powers. Honestly Victoria was damn near indestructible the entire season and Homelander’s laser eyes did nothing to her but NOW Butcher can just kill her in 5 seconds. That’s ridiculous!! And was that Shapeshifter one of the most powerful Supes? She can read minds and she too was indestructible the entire episode until she wasn’t and was killed my having her head shoved into the ground. Why is Firecracker here?? What are her powers? She never uses them. We literally saw her use a gun to kill a guy instead of her powers. How is she a Supe let alone in “The Seven”.
What really bothered me about this season is Ryan. What is the show trying to do with him? Why does he have this sense of loyalty towards HL when he literally grew up hating him. When Ryan is told about all the horrible things HL has done, including r*ping his own MOTHER he still wants to go back to him! Even though it’s clear that Ryan is a little afraid of HL so wouldn’t him finding out that HL is a monster make him more afraid to return to him???
Finally, that deathbed call that Butcher made to Hughie where he’s talking about what he wanted to do in life & then apologizes to the boys. I know that scene will have people screaming how good the writing is but that scene means absolutely NOTHING because we all know that Butcher isn’t going to die so what is the point???
Also I’m pretty sure that after the first episode of the season The Boys & Homelander weren’t in a single scene together, let that sink in.

@s.w.d4010 Oh man... I really wish I could've had you as a guest on my video. You made really good points and basically raised the same questions as I have throughout this season, like:
      - Why didn't Newman blow up the killing sheep? Or Butcher, for that matter? Homelander, I understand for political reasons.
      - Shapeshifter easily dies from being on a chokehold by someone who hardly has any powers? 🤔
      - Firecracker: I've been asking what her real power is since she came into the scene.
      - I thought Ryan was in denial or brainwashed, but after hearing about his mom being r*ped...? Why go back to HL?
      - Good memory on noticing The Boys and HL haven't interacted since ep 1. I didn't even think about that.

@@denisespieces4744 I would’ve loved being a guest! I also wanted to talk about Starlight. Why is she having this identity crisis now? They already covered this in Season 1 (the only season worth watching in my opinion). After Starlight finds out that The Seven are just a bunch of narcissistic a-holes & that she wasn’t born a Supe, and her parents allowed her to be injected with a dangerous chemical, Starlight still goes to save the boys. Even after finding out her whole life is a lie, she literally says to Hughie “I’m a f*cking Superhero.” Which to me meant that it didn’t matter to Starlight that she was lied to her whole life. Her belief that human life is worth saving and her commitment to helping people are stronger than the lies that she was told. What made Starlight so great in Season 1 is that after she realizes how horrible the world is, she is determined to not let that horrible world shape her. That is Starlight’s true strength. So why is this identity crisis happening now??

@@s.w.d4010 I'm trying to remember timelines... Maybe it all started when Firecracker came into the picture and brought up the stuff from the past about Starlight being a bully and to top it all, made her ab*rtion public.

Hey Denise! As the season Finale is out now I am going to watch the Boys series
and Did you check out the new trailer of the movie Here (2024) starring Tom Hanks & Robin Wright? The pair is back again after the famous Forrest Gump. And Can you please react on it?

@chayanbanik6277 AND Robert Zemeckis directing! Full Forrest Gump reunion! I thought the trailer was both beautiful and sad. I got a bit tear eyed... It made me think of all the places I've lived growing up. A home can hold so many memories, great ones but also sad ones. Also, the way the movie was shot and the de-aging technology being used will be pretty interesting to see.

@@denisespieces4744 Yes the same director, even almost look alike house from Gump, it's quite nostalgic and giving the gump vibe too. Its quite happy and emotional both. I have stayed in different places, it has great and sad memories too. I feel you, a home can hold so many memories. Yes the de-aging tech is cool.
