Always fun and good to BS with your buddies. Swapping bikes to ride is always fun and yes it does give you a different vibe than when riding your own regular ride. Now when I ride a buddy's bike, they know I'm gonna twist that throttle thru all the gears. I expect them to do the same while they ride my bike. Great video Smitty! Oh yeah the Indian Chief is a nice ride! But don’t tell John that 😂. I rode a Dark horse edition a few years ago and almost traded my Road King in.

Well, tomorrow is D-Day! Rick and I are meeting at his son's place here in Richmond, and from there we depart for our 5-day ride. We first go to Roanoke, VA and head South on the Blue Ridge Parkway to Hillsville, VA, where we'll spend the night at the luxurious Motel 6. Friday we head to Cherokee, NC, where we'll hook up at night with his MC buddies from the Beach. Friday afternoon we're going to go to Maggie Valley, NC and meet up with Britman from the forum at Wheels Through Time museum. Three Valks in one place! Saturday we're riding with the club and doing some hiking and sightseeing in the area. Sunday morning we'll split from the club and head West to Tail of the Dragon. We'll ride that and get a ton of pix and hopefully some video, then head back to the luxurious Motel 6 in Hillsville. Monday morning we'll head back to Richmond, and then Rick will go back to the Beach. Hopefully no calamities, large or small.
New Metzelers are on the steed, and BrakeAway is also installed. Ready to rock! Got some tech pants to reduce heat from the sun (versus blue jeans), and some gel padded biker underwear to protect my sensitive hiney. Rain suit is packed. As we speak, innumerable gadgetry is being charged up, including a jump starter, tire pump, BrakeFree helmet light, comm system, backup power banks, and multiple GoPro batteries. I even put the Air Hawk over the Corbin this time.
Hoping to get some good professional shots from the guys along the Tail that I can share after I return.

@@BigSmittyRiding I mean I don't hate the goldwing "bagger" version. But the tour pack version is way too large. I prefer my bike without one, but they are nice when you need extra storage or a passenger.
I put a fake old cheap one on simply because the bags are tiny. I’m actually gonna buy the big bulky tour pack and put it in eventually… I mean Goldwings ain’t pretty to begin with!
