When I was a kid, we only had two VHS tapes of the old Ducktales and this was one of the episodes it had. I had a great time seeing you guys react and just compare and contrast it with the original. It was a rollercoaster of nostalgia and wholesome entertainment. Thank you for uploading this!!
The reboot is so much better than the original. The triplets personality seems to only be mischievious and triplets. So its great that each one has their own personality
That is your opinion. Mine is that original-HDL as Carl Barks wrote them, as many other comic artists featured them and as DuckTales-1987 apparently kept them while slightly dumbed down (I never watched that show, so I couldn't really tell) are clever, plucky, occasionally mischievous but kind-hearted characters who are miles above the cringy, exaggerated abominations that DuckTales-2017 included and that are best soon forgotten along with the sheer arrogance of presuming to rewrite eighty years of Duck history in the first place. (And yes, technically the original-original HDL are from the cartoon shorts of the 1930s, but Carl Barks' comics expanded on them and created Duckburg around them, so he deserves almost as much credit for Huey, Dewey and Louie as he does for the characters he actually came up with himself like Scrooge and Gladstone and Gyro.)

@@EmmettMcFly55 dude. Ducktales 2017 isn’t that bad. Yes, I’ve got some issues with it. I don’t really care for H&D&L’s characters in 2017 much either. But sheer arrogance? They were doing an ADAPTATION, which means they’re taking inspiration from 80 years of content to inform their writing decisions and clearly did their best to make an enjoyable show. It isn’t arrogant, it’s their job, and they did improve on the source material in many ways. Chill out. It’s so sad cuz I was hoping to find someone who wasn’t nuts and enjoyed the OG show, but I guess I’ll have to keep looking
I think the old series are better. There the characters were kinder and nicer. And I liked the fact that the triplets were similar. That's how it should be, they're triplets. There are only minor differences. Huey is a leader, Dewey is creative and always comes up with something, and Louiе is kind and calm. In the series Quack Pack, their personalities and clothes are different and they are a little older there.

The way Scrooge built a fortune from his Number One Dime has imbued it with luck. Magica wants the dime to create a luck amulet. Why her obsession with the dime got to the level it did, I have no idea.
