    I’m back at the Island after a couple of weeks filming an amazing river expedition with my friends at Expedition 7. They took two jet boats from the mouth of the Mississippi river, and up the Missouri river to the headwaters of the Missouri River in Montana.
    I look forward to getting my sailboat on the water soon.

    Great filming!
    Sails on boats should always be protected against the elements when not sailing, the material detoriates from UV light so a cover should be used.
    But that said, your sail was probably going to fail anyway because of age.
    Godd luck with the sailing!

      Thank you! Yeah, it definitely seems like sun rot on this sail. I’ll get a sail cover for my next sail and hope that help preserve it for longer.

    Hello from New Zealand, Peter. Have missed your posts. I like your ending to this post--not full of excitement (not that we need that all the time) but such well chosen music, and scenery of your beautiful country. It'll be nice to have a break from the bikes and do something on the water: I'm not hard to please, as I like bikes, boats, and land stuff also. I was a bit of a biker myself; and have enjoyed river and lake travel also. Hope you find the right sail replacement. G.

      Hey there! Thank you, I’m glad you like the style. My vision for AG is to do all sorts of adventures be it land based, water or air as cinematic and true to myself and style as possible. While also giving the best viewing experience to all of you! I’m glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching 👍🏻

    I think they make covers for the sail. The lakes here in our area have sailboats moored at the marina and they have some kind of zipped up cover on them.....just an idea....

    Sorry to see that your sail tore! Too much sun exposure can weaken your sail and cause it to tear over time. I would say you could try to stitch a new sun cover, but it may be easier to just get a new sail. I look forward to seeing more sailing adventures! 😊

    Best sailing training…..crew on someone’s boat! Especially if they race in regattas. You learn tons! 😁👍 your sail was just rotten from age and sunlight. Time for a new/used sail 😉

    I am sure you can find a class on sailing in your area. Sometimes it’s good to have classroom instruction. That sail material is old and needs replacing.
    How is your film photography going?

    • @adventureguysofficial
      @adventureguysofficial  Месяц назад +2

      I’m looking into that as we speak. It definitely suffered some sun rot, new sail and cover are in order. I haven’t shot too much recently but I got some new film to shoot a bunch of sailing photos. Just need to get in the water ⛵️🤙🏻

    Get some sail cloth. Learn to repair your own. That is likely an old used sail.
