    I take it this was filmed in standard or Super 8mm? Even better is that the sound the narrator said he recorded simultaneously..not cheap in those days. Love the authentic rhythm to the chuffing, the motors of the diesels (esp deltics), the sound of wheels over diamonds and points. Really puts me there. So it’s not 4K, hi def whatever. The colours and light create an atmosphere of a time when these engines were just doing regular workings, as you say in the UK. Grimy boiler jackets, dulled but matching (slammer) coaching stock, goods wagons carrying revenue freight, etc. These in-the-day filmings are rare compared to today’s fan trip smart phone video recordings. Plus one really had to know how to handle light versus film speed, and composition since you couldn’t just “crop in post”. Great find and I thank whoever presented this on RUclips as well as the original documenter for having the interest and foresight.
