I’m totally impressed with this set up ... I have a AM 4.5 stunt it’s a smaller helmet and I’m trying to get the pads fitted correctly ... very nice my friend ...
Great thanks! I hope this helps give you some ideas to get your helmet padded and organized. :)
Just want to make ashout out and say many thanks for taking the time out and showing us the detailed information and the links. Legend.
Hey thanks! Glad this was helpful in some way to you and others! :)
This is pretty sweet, I might try doing something like this for my Shoretrooper helmet.
Thanks! I've been drooling over your post on the FISD forums for months. So glad I found your video!
Sweet, glad you found the video and like the build concept. :)
Beautiful install! I am going to attempt the same with my anovos helmet.
Love the set up!
Thank you for ur help earlier. Just curious if u have an amazon link for the quick release adapter for power supply.
If you mean quick disconnect adapters/plugs for electrical wiring, I don't have a specific link for any I used here, you can just search amazon for "electrical wire quick disconnects" and you can see a bunch of options, styles, and sizes for your needs. I hope that helps?! :)
Really dope and inspired
Amazing job!
Thanks, glad you liked it! :)
Could you link me to all of the products that you used?
All the products used are within the video description :)
Hello love stumbling on this video. ? What thickness of neoprene did u use? The link is not found any longer Thank u
Wow this is one of the most realistic looking Trooperhelmet interiors i've ever seen. Great job. I wish mine would looklike that. I wouldn't even need those electronic things inside. Only the cool look would make me happy. The only thing I got in my helmet is two 9V fans and the cables hidden in a black spryed hose to make it look futuristic. But yours is a masterpiece. I'm jealous :-) Greetings from an austrian Trooper.
I don't know if anyone can help me, but I was curious about the dimensions of that steel plate he used to mount the project box.
It is a 5x3 piece. Note I rounded the edges, and bent the bottom part a little inwards so it sort of tucked nicely into the form of the helmet, but that is totally optional. Obviously I sprayed it matte black as well. :)
Hey Kamikaze. I messaged you on FISD.
Awesome!
Can you tell me why do all the storm trooper helmets are black inside?
Probably because it helps hide the wearers head from being seen through the lenses by having a dark background.
Hello my name is Kevin green field ok I have a screen accurate Storm trooper helmet but I have 2 electronical small fans and 2 normal fans and I have some toggle switches and a 9 volt battery and connectors and a microphone head set so please can you tell me where these go please many thanks Kevin Greenfield from your fellow trooper.
I've been considering 3D printing a Stormtrooper helmet versus buying one. Which helmet is this exactly? Do you know many troops that use 3D printed helmets or are most of them purchased and then altered?
Hey there. While I've heard of people talk about 3D printing a helmet but I have never actually seen anyone with one and I've seen a LOT of helmets. Most are ABS or PVC and are pulls from either the original prop or molds that replicate it extremely well. Nobody buys an off the shelf helmet like a black series or something then converts it, at least not that I'm aware of, it will probably require more work than its worth. If you're looking for a 501st approved helmet the standards are a bit strict so most rely on one of the vendors that produce quality and approvable pulls, which then are transformed into built helmets with trimming, sanding, bolts, paint, etc. Hope that helps, if you're really interesting in building something and haven't already done so I'd recommend joining whitearmor.net - the location of the first imperial stormtrooper detachment of the 501st where all this is discussed in great detail.
Yours is one of the only RS helmets to have no gaps between the ears. Any tips to get that flush and clean look?
Well, there's a trick to that. Since I fully painted my helmet after constructing it (full primer job, base coat, clear coat, etc), I had the luxury of filling in the gaps with epoxy and shaping it a bit to look like a seamless fit, then the paint job ended up making it look like it was a tight seal. Probably not what you wanted to hear lol. :)
@@TK-nq9zq Thank you that's great advice! I'm new to the collecting/Prop Replica so all information is great information! I've been flirting with the idea of an "Idealized Stunt" helmet but working out the techniques and costs I may or may not invest in. Your helmet has so far been my gold standard, your work is amazing!
@@osvaldoberumen3990 Thanks for the kind words! Good luck with your stunt helmet endeavors and glad you found this video helpful. :)
Your lenses video did you upload it as I can not find it?
Do you have a link to how you did the wire connections
Sorry, I do not have more detailed illustration of the connections right now. I made this video in response to all the comments I was getting about the interior build, mainly to offer a higher level breakdown of what I ended up doing. Is there something specific you are looking for more elaboration on? How to make switched connections for these components? What is connected to what? I could come up with a basic wiring diagram if it helps people.
Maybe just showing exactly how you did your wiring of your helmet I'm just trying to get a better understanding of how you did yours and I could just work with what I have from there
@@jojo100021 Since what I have is all finished, loomed up and wired in, the best thing I could probably do is a wire diagram that shows the components and how everything is actually wired up. I'll throw one together when I have some spare cycles this weekend or early next week, hope that will help, and I'll attach it herein in the description.
@@TK-nq9zq Hey Kamikaze! I have been reviewing your build and am pulling the trigger [hopefully wont miss ;)] on purchasing the items required to complete. I am looking for that wiring diagram and cant seem to find it here or on the forum. Any chance you could message me ? Thanks in advance
Great build!!! What did you use for the amp, speakers and mic? Where are the speakers placed?
So I originally had tiny speakers embedded within the hovi tips, however that eventually didn't work out well as I found they didn't product enough output for people in public to really hear me well if they're not standing right in my face, plus having speakers so close to your mic means you need to be careful with feedback. I opted to go with a Aker MR1506 that is mounted in my Ab plate behind the button bulge, which is connected wirelessly via bluetooth to a powered microphone up in the helmet that connects to the bluetooth transmitter via 3.5mm jack. If you desire you can feed that through a voice changer unit before hitting the transmitter. Hope that helps. :)
@@TK-nq9zq What did you use for bluetooth? I assume it has to be a really small receiver, What bluetooth mic did you use?
@@cnsf For the transmitter/receiver: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OPVWHRY and for the mic: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015GDVSJ2
@@TK-nq9zq Thank you!!!
@@cnsf You're welcome! :)
Is there anyone in the uk that can build this for me
Possibly, you may want ask either in the main stormtrooper detachment itself (FISD - whitearmor.net) or the 501st UK Garrison (ukgarrison.co.uk).
Can I ask you why paint the helmet black inside !
I didn't paint the helmet black inside, some people do, one of the key points within this video is how I instead used neoprene lining. Regardless, people black out their inside one way or another to finish it visually but also ensure that the inside is dark and obscures the face from the public through the lens which may come through easier when it is all white inside. My neoprene lining does not only that but provides a bit of padding comfort, insulation, and moisture control.
@@TK-nq9zq alright cool
Is this a solid helmet or did it come apart?
My armor is from RS Propmasters, their helmets come in 4 separate pieces from the pulls, but after trimming, bolting, internal reinforcing, etc., it feels very much like a super solid one piece.
How did you do your lenses?
Hi there - I wrote up a little how to guide on FISD that shows how I did the lenses. You can find that here: www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39463-howto-bolted-rubber-sealed-removable-eye-lenses/
Did you paint the helmet?
Yes, I painted the helmet and all the other parts to the TK armor, I wanted a different finish than bare PVC. :)
@@TK-nq9zq I've just ordered mine gonna be building it also your vid has helped as I want mine to look just as badass lol what paint did you use and did you dilute it?
@@TheMadmichel I didn't dilute the paint, I have a detailed thread that describes and shows the way I painted my armor up on the FISD forums, you can take a look at that here: www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38358-painting-armor-to-a-showroom-car-like-finish/
Thanks and well done great job I'll see what I can do lol
Sorry i missed .25 inch neo. Lol
Indeed, I think that is a good compromise between thickness and ease of working with it. Good luck and have fun! :)
is there any way you make one of these for sale?
Well, I'd need you to clarify if you were asking about just an internal finishing job or making the entire bucket sort of as you see it here from scratch. One would probably be exceptionally cost prohibitive, the other maybe easier to digest, as long as you're good with paying a premium for quality work.
@@TK-nq9zq Thanks, everything but the helmet (all installation, electronics, etc).
@@Tony_SZ97 Are you registered on the FISD forums (www.whitearmor.net)?
I am now
@@TK-nq9zq I am now
Can you tell if you have what's app so that I can show you pictures of my storm trooper helmet and my bits and pieces that go inside of my bucket
Hi Kevin - I don't have that app but if you want to share anything you can always send me a message on FISD (if you're on there), my handle on www.whitearmor.net is kamikaze.
Do you sell a kit?
Hi there, when you say kit what are you asking? The helmet itself, some internals? I could probably point you in the right direction, but I don't have "products" myself. :)
TK11778 I saw your supplies list in the details section after I made the comment. Your build is super clean and I really like it. Mind if I attempt to replicate it in my clone helmet?
@@kennethgorman5524 That's why I posted the video, to provide inspiration! :)
I’d love if you’d customize my helmet, if you’re up for it.
Hi there! Yeah, to be honest I really wish this was something I could offer at a price that would be reasonable. The issue is doing a whole job like this takes a fairly decent amount of time, charging for that at a reasonable rate based on my other profession would probably make the service too steep for most. I was fine doing it for myself obviously, but turning it into a contract for someone else's project is a different story. :)
Could you link me to all of the products that you used?
