Connor Jacobson I LOVE otis black button elevators. thank you so much dieselducy for including some clips of them in this 2 hour long video!
Man, I am in Roanoke, like every month coming from Memphis, TN. My sister goes to Hollins University. Roanoke is truly a beautiful place.
Every time DieselDucy crossed a state line:
West Virginia From Virginia 27:18
Kentucky From West Virginia 1:08:26
Indiana From Kentucky 1:39:25
Illinois From Indiana 1:46:55

1:11:13 GPS- “Recalculating.” Andrew- “Oh be quiet I’m going to the drive thru.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
In the second Charleston building, the first elevator was much faster then the second one.
1:39:55 GPS- “Recalculating.” Andrew- “Oh quit recalculating we’re going to get a fuse.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice dedication at the end.
Thumbs-Up for the tribute.

Va looks really nice
I really like all the Otis Elevators with the 2 speed door and the elevator with the piston pump!!!
1:18:19 You were right. 185 miles is 435 miles.
I'm figuring out the miles from day 2.
1:36:28 16 miles (451 miles total).
1:37:29 17 miles (452 miles total).
1:39:42 29 miles (476 miles total).
1:46:35 149 miles (584 miles total).
1:47:04 202 miles (637 miles total).
1:49:37 253 miles (688 miles total).
1:51:34 277 miles (712 miles total).
2:00:02 Can't say I know the total miles. I estimate 720-730 miles.
yep:)
1:46:46 YOURE COMING INTO MY HOME STATE!!! AND I LIVE VERY CLOSE TO MT. VERNON!!
papafordtrucCPO I live in Staunton
I love how some of those elevators open in random offices where a more modern elevator would open in a lobby
1:12:58 “Wow just over 8 gallons that’s it?” “Gas is getting expensive.” 🤣🤣
It is
I directed an episode of home movies (1998-2006, animated TV show) where Brendon and his mom, Paula Small, And my own characters, Jack and Bobby and Bobby's wife/Jack's Mom Joanne head to Chicago, Illinois for the weekend to see Jack's relatives, and also to see Jack's out-of-town friends (who he's known for a long time, too), siskel and Ebert in Chicago, Illinois. The episode of home movies also features the voices of Courteney Cox (TV'S friends), Charlie sheen and Jon cryer (TV'S two and a half men), and Peter Boyle (TV'S everybody loves Raymond). The episode is now kinda similar to this road trip to St. Louis video.
And along the way, they stop at McChicken's (parody of McDonald's) x2 for lunch (Day 1 and Day 2), and Donald von cheeseintions, because they love pizza, for dinner when they spend the night at their motel in Morehead, KY.
They also do stop for drinks and gas at a gas station every time Jack's father, Bobby's Winnebago's gas tank gets low.
1:44:33 “Hopefully the next clip will be coming from the gas station and not the side of the road.” 😂😂
lol
This could be a movie!
thx so much for making this video
Thanks for the footage of VA. Just get homesick sometimes and its nice seeing pictures of home. Its also nice to hear someone actually say VINTON and not Vinuhn. ;)
Excellent video. Great work! I can see it was truly a labor of love.
34:58 GPS- “Recalculating.” Andrew- “Oh be quiet!” 🤣 Must not have liked it that time 😂
lol. Old school gps
Excellent I managed to watch it all
28:25 “That’s right!” *Dover buzz/bleep* mart!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol
I love watching this video on my iPod touch! Do you think I should upload my trip to Tennessee?
Do it if it makes you happy!
B E L M AT, add E O & you've spelled out my favorite bowling alley :D
The intro to this video was AMAZING!
Best 2 and a half hours I have ever spent!
Bravo, streetcar1743. 👏👏👏👏👏👏. Dieselducy, I love your hotel tours and road trips as I love to travel!
This is a continuation from my last comment I left a minute ago. In terms of elevators that are at my university, we mostly have older, as well as some modded Otis elevators, as well as some ThyssenKrupp elevators in our brand new student center. The Otis in my residence hall runs ok, although the contractor for it, ThyssenKrupp has had to come repair it a lot. It definitely is showing its age. The Kruppy ones are nice though. Maybe I'll make some videos sometime.
I enjoyed this video I like your videos

Andrew, the factory you were thinking about once you crossed into Kentucky is not a factory. It's a KY-owned refinery located in Catlettsburg, not Ashland.
I really enjoyed watching your Video. Great Job. Wish you had a wonderful Christmas. Greetings from Germany
Nice trip. Interesting to see snow in the American state of Virginia, seeing as it is in the American southern states where the general concept is they are hot and humid.
I'm going to do some major snacking while I watch this.
I went through Louisville, Kentucky on my way to Myrtle beach, South Carolina on 5/26/18. I also went through Princeton, West Virginia on my way to Ohio on 6/1/18.
We don’t take I 81 anymore because we got stuck on I 81 a lot mostly northbound and sometimes southbound and we now take us 29!
I used to live in afton, va. I loved it there.
That old tunnel that he passed was a toll road when I was going to FairPlay CO I went though there in 1992
I love your channel!
Been looking forward for this! :D I've been waiting for you to take the Celebrity on a road trip haha! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :)
Enjoying your video of your trip, you do have some beautiful scenery in your area where it ain't cornfield after cornfield along the way! By the way Merry Christmas to you!
I loved your road trip video dieselducy. I hope ihop get to see more road trip videos soon.
Now this is exactly where I am originally from. St. Louis, Missouri!
AWESOME!
I have school tomorrow (REALLY SHORT) so i'm going to Branson as my Road trip. I'm gonna just do it quickly before I leave

Awesome road trip video. I really enjoyed!
what's that train thing all about? also, awesome vid!!!'
When you were changing the battery and you said and I quote: "Now lets get the BUNNY out! That's right, we got Energizer!" Energizer is not "the bunny" Duracell is "the bunny" Energizer is just some battery man.
What makes you think that? Search it on Google "Duracell" If not, then, ...damn.
Hi DieselDucy, I like your road trip.
Thanks!
Hi there! I was going to say I watched this entire video in shifts in an entire day. I never thought I would do it, but I watched it. I had never watched that long of a Diesel Ducy video before, and it was kind of interesting! I know it’s an old video, but I enjoyed it a lot. Would strongly recommend it if you have the time.
This was filmed on my birthday!
awesome video andrew
Let me guess when the intro you use iMovie right?
Yep.
What template was it?
Great video! Fun and entertaining to watch.
I enjoyed it watching a full clip
How long did it take you to make this epic movie!
WOW it's better than a movie!!
great video i really enjoyed watching it!
I see you enjoyed our city good sir! Come back and check out our museum I have some video of it that might you might enjoy.
Amazing Road Trip! I hooked it up to the big screen TV for the whole family to enjoy it this evening. Great locations and incredible classic elevator finds! You've got us wanting more, and with all of those elevators in the slideshow at the end, I look forward to seeing more of your road trips in the future! Thank you for making these videos all these years, you've really helped me personally through some really rough times.
Ni man I. I no
The only thing I like about it are its cheap prices and doing pranks with their stereos and intercom systems.
Well I finally got through the whole thing had a to break it up into three sections but well worth it.
Wow GREAT JOB Andrew! Reminds me a bit of my trip to St. Louis! I'm glad you got to embark on such an epic adventure and I hope you will go on just as epic a trip (or two) in 2013 (hint hint!)
51:55 national anthem plays in my head
lol thanks :)
1:36:48 There's actually not 1, but 2 Riverwalks. The other is located in Downtown San Antonio TX via The Mall at Rivercentre.
+ DieselDucy at 1:46:55 you came in my home state! Welcome to Illinois!
I've been to Virginia more times than I can count because I live just to the north in Maryland. I've been on 315 of the 324 miles of Interstate 81 in Virginia, the only part I haven't been on is between Route 7 near Winchester and the West Virginia state line. I've also been on the West Virginia Turnpike part of Interstate 77 which includes Interstate 64.
It's best to wait if you're stuck in traffic on a road or highway.
Yep
I've been stuck in traffic before. Even here in Paducah, I've been in standstill traffic a few times, but nowhere that bad.
In STL, check out the Arch Elevator. It is one of the most unusual of all. It is small and goes at very strange angles.
Great video dieselducy! I like it :)
There goes the Mini Cooper. My favorite! 1:59:14
awesome!
Great video. Keep up the good work.
