Thanks! Two weeks of processing in Davinci Resolve, believe it or not. Although the original footage was 1.5 hours long, and I deleted the last 15 mins because there was too much ISO noise. But the whole process takes so long and uses so much space. I used two 8TB drives to hold all the data before exporting the final to YT!
The stream choices available unfortunately depend on the capabilities of the device doing the streaming. So if you can only see 3840x1080, then I'm afraid that is likely due to limitations on your side (browser/OS/graphics/bandwidth). For best results, use a computer with a browser than can display AV1 video streams on a 10-bit HDR monitor.
@@GalacticWarthog I looked at the statistics for the sysadmin for this video. If you really uploaded 8K on RUclips, then I apologize. But it's still strange, I'm watching on a 4K/120Hz TV and an RTX4090 video card, so from the point of view of hardware, everything is fine with me. But I noticed that RUclips recently changed my name (like many other users) by adding numbers to it, and perhaps changed something in the settings, and in particular limiting the videos offered to view to only 8K... Previously, I could choose the resolution of 8K videos. I'll figure it out. Thank you for the beautiful Live Wallpaper!
@@engineerjr7173 Yes, if you get youtube-dl you can list all the available formats for any youtube URL, and that should satisfy you that the streams are there, it is up to your computer & software to choose the right one. Also use Chrome or Edge browsers, and I assume you have installed the AV1 video extension from the Microsoft Store? Hello there, I run a 160" 32:9 wallscreen in my bar, is it possible to have/buy the original encoded files of your recordings so that I could run them naitiely on my wallscreen? How do I get in touch with you?
What resolution do you need? The original 8K files are really huge. The RAW files are several TeraBytes in size. It's an interesting concept, I just do this as a hobby, not out to make money, but at the same time I don't want to see the videos ripped off, and I also have to find time to do the encoding. I'll add an email address to the profile.
@@GalacticWarthog I managed to list it out in yt-dlp but in the browser even on the Samsung Neo G9 dual UHD I cannot get the option for 8K. In the past no 8K video was listed even in yt-dlp.
Interesting. I actually upgraded my work monitor to a Odyssey Neo G9 57 yesterday, and saw my own videos for the first time on the superwide Samsung in 8K. On Chrome, it has full 8K HDR, although I am getting dropped frames in the 60Hz videos, still got to figure that one out.
simply stunning! Incredible scenery and incredible technical possibilities nowadays!

Thanks for this! I needed this for my Samsung 32:9 curved computer monitor - for concentration purposes!
thanks
thanks so much for sharing, stunning to look at, with sound off imo background soundtrack doesn't do it justice, pretty crappy
Agreed, I'm not happy with the audio either. But there is always the mute button, as you said...
I see all the beauty 🥰 in 4320p60fps on my Philips 498P9Z Monitor, 32x9 format, hdr 456, 5120x1440@165 Hz

In fact, this video is in a very low resolution of 3840 x 1080 @60. Why is the author deceiving us in the title of the video?

Also most of the files I did not keep the files after uploading to YT. The only originals I kept are of the timelapses.
@@GalacticWarthog ok I'll check it out asap and write you.

The 8K option is gone for now sadly.
I just verified the channel on a M3 Max Mac and it displayed full 8K in beautiful HDR. Try again?

I was hoping to hear natural water and some bird sounds rather than music
Me too….. but the soundtrack as recorded was mostly kids screaming and dogs barking, and occasional gun shots (East Texas). So, music added.
