Wow, a horrifying transformation plus infohazard that doesn't cause people to murder or attempt to spread aggressively. That's like buying a cartoon popsicle and it looking like the character instead of a deformed mess.
1903 might seem tame in the surface, but it serves as a vital setup for the plot involving Dr. Hayward and Agent Crowley. Which pardon the pun but this is quite a rabbit hole to go down on, check out /pitch-haven-hub on the scpwiki

Dr. Buck has really grown on me as a character. Yes, she's a cold-hearted, unfeeling shrew, but that's her charm.

She TRIED to sympathize at least - her heart's in the right place but she doesn't know how to express herself easily because her years at the Foundation have taught her to be cold to others.

Sheesh, I know people don't like Doctor Buck but damn, they're going in on her. Almost feel bad for her, especially after knowing that she's capable of showing emotions to Agent Green

It's a really Lovecraft-ish style of writing; cosmic horror. And it highly plays on a sense of... Some sort of being unable to do anything about the force of nature those anomalies are, because they're well above our knowledge or capabilities.

Yes, we all (mostly atleast) agree that its cool with the reaccuring characters. I think the creators picked up on it by now also. And with that said: I really love how they use the same characters. It makes it feel like a tv-show.

Oh man, I love the Pitch haven tales. I recommend all the SCP's connected to Jackie, if I'm not mistaken she's a byproduct of the Pitch haven like a few other cool SCP's.

I'm going to take a guess at this but what's deadly about Jackie's Secret is when she tells someone that secret. Everything in that warehouse is kept secret, so much so even the guy running it isn't sure what's going on.

Well, that was a vague one.
I recommend reading the Pitch haven tales if you want a better grasp of things. All the Pitch haven scps' and tales are kinda vague unfortunately but they sorta start to make sense the more you read; I think the author was really into cosmic horror.
Because you become them if you know too much =o=

Theory- jackie knew about the nuclear waste the manager of the nuclear plant had been dumping, so one day he decides to be with her, and probably kills her in a river full of nuclear waste which causes the anomaly, sadly now the mask should appear on me if this makes any sense
My guess is what the reply above has said, but it will also occur to anyone who spreads information about the sickness. I don’t know much about dinner but I think he may have had something to do with the creation of 1903, he was hesitant to share details because he might have been worried about getting the sickness by spreading info.

I don't get it either completely...I think it's something like she got transformed (jackie) and if you know enough details about her (case/condition) than you get transformed as well

@@ElementalDAR the itching and skin/face peeling is a symptom of mercury poisoning i believe, I think the test requires a tissue sample. Mercury poisoning testing is actually referenced in several scps.
