I've realized that there are a lot of mega church pastors that use their platform to be like the Pharisees or preach a false gospel about being rich or money. May I give all American Christians one advice? It's simple - leave preachers ALONE! I live in Africa and in my experience as a Christian and preacher, I've learnt that no minister of God is perfect. They all make mistakes and the fact that they often admit it prove they're honest. As long as they're honest enough to admit their faults, they're still open for change. What we should be doing as Christians is praying for them and bearing with them, not criticising or condemning them. We're all humans at the end of the day and we all need God's MERCY. I think what makes it hard for anyone who didnt grow up WOF/PG to understand is that when preachers teach heresy it sounds normal. We grew up knowing preachers reserved the right to say something "new" whether we understood or not, whether it made sense or not, etc. There is no false teaching in these churches only new revelations of God.

I agree with what you are saying - and I can see how preaching like this can mislead certain people into thinking there is a transactional process with God. That being said, Couldn't he be speaking from a point that God CANT give you what He has for your life if you are not obedient? I think the term " forcing Gods hand" is a poor choice of words, but what he is saying is TECHNICALLY true I would argue.
I would say the best way to phrase it is "God *won't* do [x] if you don't obey" but God already fulfils His promises. But as K reminds us in this vid, we shouldn't give to get; rather give to have given.
There are unbelievers who are disobedient to God, and yet God still blesses them. He still gives to them, so to answer a question no. Change the "can't " to "won't."

I think what makes it hard for anyone who didnt grow up WOF/PG to understand is that when preachers teach heresy it sounds normal. We grew up knowing preachers reserved the right to say something "new" whether we understood or not, whether it made sense or not, etc. There is no false teaching in these churches only new revelations of God.
The Bible says “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4
God doesn't need your money for him to bless you. Obedience and following his commands release favor when you don't need any money for God to move on your behalf.

I had to learn to trust the sovereignty of God. For me, it is actively looking for the "paths" that He creates to fulfill His purpose for and through me. Then, "walking" that path to accomplish His will in my life. Nothing is too small.

I agree with what you are saying - and I can see how preaching like this can mislead certain people into thinking there is a transactional process with God. That being said, Couldn't he be speaking from a point that God CANT give you what He has for your life if you are not obedient? I think the term " forcing Gods hand" is a poor choice of words, but what he is saying is TECHNICALLY true I would argue.
I would say the best way to phrase it is "God *won't* do [x] if you don't obey" but God already fulfils His promises.
But as K reminds us in this vid, we shouldn't give to get; rather give to have given.
There are unbelievers who are disobedient to God, and yet God still blesses them. He still gives to them, so to answer a question no. Change the "can't " to "won't."

Ehhhhh disagree with you on some of these points. God has put curtain laws in place such as Seed time and harvest. The Bible says he will give seed to the sower. Mike is saying that God will not let His word be a lie so if you do what the word says to do God HAS to honor his word. I normally agree with your points but this one was a slight reach. Everyone understood what he meant. If I tell my son I am going to do something, as a man I should keep my word or I will be viewed as a liar. He’s not saying God is his puppet. He is saying that based on GODS WORD if we give God will see to it that we always have enough to give. So give and that HAS to move Gods hand. Not because God owes us but because God is not a liar.
The Bible says that is we believe and accept Christ into our are we go to heaven. If I say i am a believer so God has to let me in isn’t because God is my puppet. It is because God gave me my instructions and in response to that God HAS to do His part.

Thought are from the realm of the spirit. God is king. God will bless you because you are in relationship with him. It’s not about material things. It’s about the spirit life in submission in prayer and winning souls. Material things is just extra. God wants us to preach salvation and teach people to walk in holiness.
