Detroit is America! Be shocked, be embarrassed, be afraid -- no matter how far you think you are away from this. Question your politics, your views on race, economics, what it means to be American, everything. Get informed with maps, stats, and news about how bad this is, and how we got here. If you think someone else's party, race, or business practices are responsible for this... learn... and think again. Understand also that what you see here is actually a thousand times bigger, just in Detroit. Then wonder what other American disasters exist today and are being minimized and swept under the rug by our politicians, media and businesses.
Ask yourself... who or what have YOU been willing to abandon with your self interest, or your grandiose scheme.

What can YOU do to make this better.
This is America, this is our problem. Face the truth.
To the people of Detroit... this is not intended to be a slam on the city. Courage and hope abound among many Detroiters, and that is another message. Hopefully any emotion this evokes will be in the form of a wake up call for those of us from outside of Detroit that have been unaware.

People, this really is a part of the USA today. Nobody, there has not been a nuclear war. People did this, by day to day bad behaviour.
