Although uchi-mata means "inner thigh throw", I find this variation of the technique (grabbing the leg instead of going for the inner thigh) to be more difficult but incredibly more efficient. I love it. And I'm going to practice it a lot. Also, let me tell you ms. Tanimoto's smile is contagious, every time I re-watch this video I can't help myself but to smile too. She really must be an incredible person. Thanks for all you do, keep it up.
I love this one!!! Thank you Kodokan! Please keep them coming! I think would be good a "Description on differences between closely resembled Waza" between uchi mata and hane goshi.
I love this channel! Thank you! I have just initiated the judo club in my hometown since it has been resting for many years and this channel helps me with the coaching.
Hello Judo commumity and lots of thanks to Kodokan for the initiative. I would be greatful to watch an explanatory video to help distinguish Uchi mata from Hane Goshi coz to difference is not very clear to me. Thanks again and have a wonderful new year from Cameroon in Africa.
In Japan Women have the option to use solid black or black with white stripe. Black with white stripe was traditionally the women’s version of the black belts, while the men’s is what we know black belt as today.
In one of his videos, FLUID JUDO JAPAN (ruclips.net/channel/UCbnLFPhDW74n3SZajC_JLFg) says that the Japanese do a a Hane-Goshi-style Uchi-Mata for Uchi-Komi or instructional situations like this, especially in Kenka-Yotsu.

Impressive
¿Qué significado tiene ese cinturón con franjas blanca y negra?
👌👌👌
Muito show😀👏👏👏
Why does sensei wear a white stripe through their belt?
👌
👌👌👌👌👌
The first technique is hane goshi, not uchi mata.
For the japanese is uchimata. In Hane goshi you dont need to extend the leg in that way. Is a koshi waza technique
ρε συ Φανη..λες να μην ξερει η Γιαπωνεζα?
What about the black and white belt?

@@Budoexplained Thank you very much for the explanation. Didn't know that.
Great explanation and technic, but I don't think I understand the difference with hane-goshi, can someone help ?
This is in fact hane-goshi, not uchi-mata
I think, In uchimata leg action is sweep, Hane goshi its lifting.
